The Key...What was the weather like at the time of the crash???? Did the pilot get disoriented due to fling into clouds? Pilot disorientation in clouds is a frequent cause of small plane crashes.

These local news stations never bother to say where they are, as if they were only talking to their local audience. Lazy journalism.

They plummeted down along with the pieces when the plane came apart. Where do you think they were found ? I’d guess somewhere along the 1/2 mile long debris field along the ground.

This plane manufactured in ‘66 - 58 yrs. Vintage military acft okay, yet how long are the demands of speed, temperature, maneuver stress on every flight and even sitting supposed to last for light ancft? This incident is an answer.

There are planes much older that are still flying. It's not simply an issue of age in years, but a question of how many flight hours are on the airframe and how well it has been maintained. This particular model of aircraft has a long history of crashes due to exceeding the maximum speed the airframe is safely capable of - the 'Never Exceed' velocity - in a relatively shallow dive, followed by not being able to recover from the dive without the plane coming apart in the air due to the loads that are imposed on the tail and wings. Given the reported loss of altitude and witness statements of the wings coming off in the air, it is very likely that this was a plane that was flown beyond the limits of what its airframe could withstand when it was brand new. The question is what caused it to be in that high speed dive.

Disoriented Doc got in over his head in clouds and lost it on instruments. Started the classic spiral dive and ripped it apart. JFK Jr. died same way basically but in even worse dark night/fog/haze conditions.
