The Glashütte is simply astonishing, amazing mechanism!
That Glashütte Original is really a unique timepiece 🥰

I have the Glashütte and it is something I truly enjoy wearing as the non-standard dial is really appealing to me and evokes alot of conversation. The Lange clearly inspired the GO, but it is its own animal and was my grail watch before I got it three years ago. I only wear it on special occasions, and when I do, I tend to check the time more often than I need to to just look at it.
The Glashutte is in my opinion one of the most beautiful watches I have ever seen. I missed the price screen at first, and my mouth literally fell open when you said under $10K.
Great video. I loved the Glashuette Original videos you have done in the past and convinced me to get one. I have this GO with the green dial. Stunning.
Always good to listen to you and watch your videos Teddy, Thank you !!
Got JLC Master thin moon last year mostly on your advice. Love it. Classy, elegant . Keep it up good work.
My fav watch channel on KZread, objectively the best choice of content. Well done!
Great video Teddy, love these 3 pieces!
All beautiful watches. I have the GO with the green dial. Such a gorgeous watch. I love the date window on the GO
All three great brands and lovely looking but I would go with the Glasshutte all day every day.
Fantastic content as always, unsure if it's just a tan Teddy but your saturation looking a smidge high. Thank you for the great videos!
Thanks Teddy for including the accuracy measures!
Fantastic video Teddy. I have been looking for a moonphase dress watch for some time, albeit an affordable one. So far I am smitten with the Longines Heritage 1832 Moonphase.
OMG!! I didn't know that JLC and I've just fell in love with it, it's just wonderful!! I love its simplicity and the blue dial, just amazing.

Love the GO as it is on my 3 watch wish list for the dress watch. I love it!
Great review, you can't go wrong with any of them.
Great video again, thanks Teddy, loving the Glashutte Original, beautiful watch!!!! Always a fan of JLC to, but I prefer the gold version with a tan strap🤩.....
I tried on the JLC the other week, that blue is just amazing in person and the AD was very flexible on price, it’s easily my pic of the bunch. I ended up getting an entirely different watch all together and bought an Oris Complication as well to quench my moon phase itch. I will be going back for the JLC later in life, it’s become a grail watch for me now.

These being the three brands i want most to add to my collection next, it's kinda hard to pick, though I think most people would nix the Zenith first. A bit over-sized for dress watch, don't like that pattern thing going on under the moon aperture. The other two are just amazing. I think they could both fit in the same collection. The GO Is sporty enough for everyday wear to me. Awesome presentation. ( AS always! )🙌

Get the panomaticlunar blue as your daily, zenith chronomaster as sports and reverso as dress piece
I find both the Glashutte Original and the JLC both stunning watches, and making a decision would be hard. But if I had to pick one, I lean to the JLC for case size, that spectacular blue dial, and I love the design of the lunar dial, with different size stars around the moon. Absolutely stunning. I would be interested to see that JLC with blue dial and a yellow or rose gold moon and stars.
a great underrated one is the Longines Master Collection Chronograph. an amazing amount of complications at a great price.

The JLC is pure class and extra classy when in rose gold 😍
The JLC is my fave! Love the power reserve which is important to me…the GO is nice too and also like the date window!
All are very nice! I'mm generally partial to JLC but in this instance its the Glashütte for me
Three great picks! I sure love moonphase complications. Ball makes a nice looking moonphase as well at a reasonable price-point.
I have bought a Tissot moonphase last month. I never thought about what phase the moon is at and there is no need to know this, but it looks absolutely stunning
I would go for the Glashutte Original. It has a really unique design that I love.
I just love the JLC design. Elegant but simple! Pure Class! I like Glashütte Original as a brand but on this model I don't like the small hour dial.
The GO is simply stunning which I think you can dress up or dress down with a strap change. Great video!
Amazing video Teddy! When are you going to show us your current watch collection? Has it not changed since the 2018 video?
I love the moonphase complication, that JLC is a real gem!
I can confirm the GO is a fantastic option. Wearing mine as I'm typing this. One moon phase I'd love to add to my collection is the Sarpaneva Korona K3 moon phase..just an absolutely beautiful piece! 😍

How's the thickness on your wrist size?
@markedfortime
2 жыл бұрын
@@adamgreis1763 it's pretty slim on the wrist when compared to my diver's. I really don't even notice it on my wrist. I have a 7.5" / 19cm wrist. I typically will wear 39 - 44mm with 42mm being my sweet spot.
GO is the winner for sure! I just tried on the Panomatic Lunar yesterday! It was the rose gold green dial....🤤
I like the Oris Artelier Grande Lune just nice and clean. And nothing compares to the JLC Reverso Hybris but it’s one you can only dream of.
GO for me. Looks amazing
very nice collection Glashütte my fav .... cheers
Very helpful given I’m looking for a new luxury dress watch.
Hi teddy love your work and passion for watches. How about a comparison review on hand wind non automatic watches.
One wonders upon looking at these time pieces and acknowledging the multitude of other brands with their individual variables, how is it possible that everyone dosent find the art or horology the pinnacle of human art and engineering ? Bravo to all in our chosen love !
Yo Bootysaur, I have the Master Calendar Meteorite dial with a lovely gold moon phase, I agree with the romance of the moon phase complication. KZreadrs etc often mention it has a lack of... necessary function? It's nice to know a full moon is coming and enjoy the beauty of the world around us. That is more than reason enough!
Loving the one from Glashütte , would be a dream to own one 😄

If you are lucky you would find one for 6-6.5k in the grey market
I am a big fan of all three but the GO is the one I would pull the trigger on. I own a SeaQ Panorama Date and it's outstanding
A great review I really like the GO a great looking watch and just pips the JLC in my opinion, not over keen on the Zenith but still a good looking watch and good value.
That JLC is something else. I hope to get there one day!
That OG...wow!
That Glashutte… wow! Easily the top choice, with the JLC in second, also a beauty. The Zenith… it’s ok but not one that I would buy.

Not crazy about the Zenith, particularly the matte moon. I'm sure it works well with that dial but the other two are so striking.

They have huge price gap
I have 3 watches with moon phase (2 Blancpain, 1 Longines). Of the three you present here, I'd pick the Glashutte as I like digital date as well). I'd look to get it with a bracelet rather than a strap.

I love the large date on the Glashutte Original (as well as on some A. Lange & Sohne watches).
I'm a JLC man... but the clear choice here is the GO. It's so clean with that regulator flavor... and that back!!
The GO is my pick, but I'd opt for the green dial.
I like how the Zenith is sportier and more modern than the other 2. Seems like people dont love it in the comments but, actually, it is my favourite one out of the bunch because of the minimalistic and modern look

Out of these 3: JLC. Grail watch, timeless refined classic of one of the most recognised watchmaker. But Glashütte just next. Stunning as well!
GO for me. Stunning
Please do high horology pieces and square/ rectangle dress watches!
Excellent review, While I like all 3 personally I think the JLC is "the one".
The GO is outstanding, I like a lot.
The Glashutte is by far my favorite 😍...
My pick is Glassutte. Stunning piece and well worth the price.
Just LOVE that JLC.
Great video. I’d like to see one on Annual Perpetual. Can similar “value” be obtained under $10k? Thanks. Oh and GO very strong here.
A real-life experience with Glashytte Original. Bought one from AD. Moonphase did not work. Went back to factory. 2 months there. Came back. Did not work still... I was offered to send back to factory once again. Did not want that as the whole feeling was gone.... Hats of to the AD. Took the watch back (after 6 months of the whole operation) and no questions asked. I am sure that was one time problem with GO but still... this brand is out from my radar now. AD from the other hand, got a lot of kudos and i will buy from there again for sure.
All 3 are incredible and I want to say the Glashutte is hands down the best, but that JLC does look beautiful. But, my money would be going to Glashutte.
With regards to your comments at the end of the video on dress watches - I think there has never been a better time to pick one up! Massive value vs sports watches etc. It's like discounts when the season is changing, if you are buying a dress watch in today's market you are laughing!
Frederique Constant's Slimline Moonphase Manufacture FC-705 should be in this list. Very Beautiful and affordable!
I just got a zenith with a moonphase. It is a chronometer and beautiful
I own the glashutte panomaticlunar in midnight blue. Also own The reverso Monoface and zenith el primero

Wow are you a billionaire by any chance?
Great vid and watches, but wouldn't trade my Longines Master Collection Chronograph for any of them. Paid $2,350 for it and still admire its beauty every time I put it on my wrist
Thoughts on the Panomatic Lunar on bracelet? I feel like it adds another level of versatility but you rarely see it in the wild!
That JLC is a goal watch, but it's going to have to wait a few years. Same with the Reverso by them as well. In the meantime I'll look into getting the Longines Heritage Flagship model as a holdover once it comes in stock.
moonphase: what a delight!
Hi teddy, can you make a video types of watches to go for types of outfit? I have been googling when is the best time to wear a brown leather watch but I have not got any direct answers. Thanks
Great look and review at a unloved complication (dive watch being king), I have the G.O. PanomaticLuna. A great watch that I picked up at 50% of RRP which is a whole lot of bang for the buck. All 3 watches deserve more coverage and respect.

@@adamgreis1763 that’s just the retention value of glasshutte, RRP is £8600, I picked up the watch second hand for £4500 (I know not exactly 50% but close enough).
Great blog post but disappointing you missed Jaquet Droz who makes what I find to be the most compelling moon phase execution, the Grande Seconde Moon.
Please do a cartier tank must xl , it's my dream watch 😀😀
Glashutte and JLC are my two favorite brands.
The JLC is stunnnning
The Longines Master moonphase pointer date is beautiful. It looks so much like the JLC it's crazy. Plus it only cost $2400! If you are considering the JLC you owe it to yourself to at least look at the Longines too.
you should have showed one of the gorgeous breguet moonphase watches
I loved the introduction on the history of the moon phase complication. It could have even lasted a little longer. Regarding the watches: to me, it’s not the Zenith. The two others are quite desirable, but I cannot resist the Jaeger-LeCoultre for all the reasons mentioned in the video plus one more. C’est un mouvement AUTOMATIQUE; not an AUTOMATIC movement. When your mother tongue is French, that is a BIG deal. Now, blue or white dial? Why not both!? Just kidding on that last one.
Glashutte screams elegance and class above the others that mechanism is pure genius
Teddy, what do you think about the Master Control Calendar from JLC?
The JLC Moonphase at 9:26. Frederique Constant makes an identical looking watch with in-house automatic movement for around $3500 USD.

Yes the Slimline Moonphase FC-705N4S6. I own one. Beautiful watch.
I love the GO Panomaticlunar. Not a huge fan of the Zenith Elite but really like their discontinued Captain Grande Date Moonphase and am torn between a secondary market of that or the GO. JLC is pure elegance but I would rather the Master Control Calendar with moonphase. Ah well, maybe I'll hit the lottery and can get all three....
JLC for me. This blue is amazing
The Christopher Ward C1 Moonglow is my favorite
@TeddyBaldassarre

That is a unique one no question.
JLC is my choice. It's absolutely stunning.
SCHAUMBURG moon galaxy Moon phase black dial is a beauty as well. What are your thoughts on that model
Can you do a "cost of ownership for luxury watches" video?
That JLC is peak design!
not super familiar with the zenith, but love all three of these...
Could you do an episode on affordable moonphase watches? Or do you think there are none?
what is better finished than that Glasshutte original - at any price point? This is a great selection and the JLC is lovely but there’s a lovely self contained story feel to the Glasshutte - and then you turn it over ❤
Happy owner of black JLC ultra thin moon here.
The lack of refinement of Zenith (and the blant painted moon - a no go for me) puts it a league apart from the two other monsters. Of the two, the pano has its charm, notably on the big date, but come on: you cannot beat the elegance of the JLC and I have to agree with you. Just the moon dial is worth it, so intriguing, so much depth to it, desperately pretty. And let's face it, it's a JLC: no jerk will ever tell you it's a poor man's Lange (which the GO is, in the end, as much as I love it).
Aw man! How do you choose!? 🤷♂️What an exceptional collection of watches. I could have any one of them and be a very happy bunny. That said….. the JLC is gorgeous!
How can you not include the Longines Master Collection Moonphase? It's cheaper than any of these, the finishing is right up there, it just doesn't have an in-house movement (but that's no requirement to be a luxury watch). I personally own one with a blue sunray dial and a matching alligator strap, and it looks extremely alike the JLC Master Ultra Thin Moon for a tenth of the price.
Since I would only wear this rarely, I wouldn't want to spend much on a moonphase watch. If I did, I would look into the Orient Star. Seiko Premier or for less $$ a Graf Zeppelin
Are there a bit affordable moon phase watches that are out there?
