Go to iOS 11, it’ll manage your speeds better. The whole thing about Apple slowing down old iPhone is just a misunderstood thing. They slow down your phone because your internal hardware is doing too much and taking more power than your phone can supply. If you want the absolute best, go to a BatteriesPlus store and get your battery replaced and you’ll find your performance will go back up. My braindead iPhone 6 suffered from this “more power than it can handle” and it shut down itself. Took it to Apple, it was deemed dead. Then, I get my new iPhone 6s and I attempt to boot my iPhone 6 and it booted! From there, I downloaded iOS 11 via iTunes and it’s worked since.

Long story short, just replace your battery at Apple or Batteries Plus. Either this or you can get an iPhone SE before they discontinue it.

Do you need an active SIM card to activate iPhones? Or can I just use an old one that’s been deactivated to get through the setup

You should contact the owner of the iCloud locked one or try the Apple repair people. Maybe they can unicloud lock it. The screen having a pink/purple rectangle is because of the battery slightly expanding and pushing against the lcd causing that pink hue. Needs battery replacement and screen replacement normally

I have an iPhone 5 but the screen won’t turn on. I have tried everything and it’s a brand new screen it is missing the back glass and the vibration motor no longer works but when it is plugged into iTunes it works fine and asks me to enter my passcode which I can’t do because the screen isn’t working, any ideas? I have also replaced the battery which works fine but the screen just won’t turn on. I’ll test the screen on another iPhone 5 once I get it back from my friends place and see if it’s the screen that’s faulty or the iphone itself.

What do you do with the iPhone after having them

The yellow around the screen could be due to an expanding battery, my friends 5 has the same thing, and has stress on the screen around the battery area, and I opened it up and the battery was expanded

I had the same camera issue on my iPod 6 it’s really common.I did a quick search and found a bunch of videos on it.They say to reconnect the cables that make the camera work.I contacted Apple but they said they would just replace it and I was like no thanks as my iPods on 10.2 and is still fully functional.This issue is usually caused by drops or just using your iPhone carelessly.

Christina Andwena You can jailbreak 10.3.3 With H3lix. Its a semi untethered jailbreak. And coolbooter works. I dual booted my iPad 4 running 10.3.3, to 6.1.3. Works perfectly fine 😀

Hahahaha ikr. I found my 16GB 5s on iOS 8.3 for just $45. The phone’s housing and glass is so smooth, like brand new, and the seller even included a free clear case. The only issue is the front cam is broken, but no biggie since i dont even take selfies. At least it’s superfast on iOS 8 😍😜

I just got a 5 running iOS 8.1.3 off eBay. It's nearly immaculate other than a bit of roughness towards the bottom. It's 32gb Silver. Only thing wrong with it is that the volume down button doesn't work and the battery is severely degraded.

The screw that holds the volume button inside is probably loose. I opened an iPhone 7 to screw down the Taptic Engine and volume down button

I got a free iphone 5 black 16 gig, well it wasnt so free i exchanged it for a old xiaomi mi band 1st gen. Anyways the phone has marks from everyday usage and the display/digitizer lifts up in the top right corner and the home button isnt fixed (I can spin it with my thumb) and has like dust under the clear camera cover. So thats about 20 bucks from aliexpress. hope i'll get lucky and get some good parts. But after all it is a great beater phone, that can run snapchat, instagram, messenger without a problem

iCloud locked is a PAIN. I recently bought a 5s iCloud locked and I took it to apple before being turned away. They told me I needed the company I bought it off (cash converters) to provide information that the phone isn’t stolen. but because I bought it as parts only they refused to participate in unlocking the phone. If anyone could help I would appreciate it

LumiYT they are pretty easy to find and dead cheap. The good thing is you can find those network locked 3GS for low price and you can easily unlock them with ultrasn0w. I got one from eBay for $6 with free shipping!
