Twin Double Basses are born! B1 and B2.(2018) And now they are played with their older 5 string brother (2015). All by Australian maker Benedict G. Puglisi and his team at Atelier Puglisi.
These twins were made using just one piece of aged Austrian Maple carefully sawn and divided. Including the neck blocks and scrolls. They were married together with the Italian spruce split to make the tops for both instruments. also cut from the same tree side-by-side. Every detail including the bass bars, Machine heads, bridges, sound posts and tailpieces was carefully match in a meticulous attempt at producing identical sisters.
