I just received mine and used it. It’s well made and very versatile. I also have their MACKINAW WOOL CRUISER JACKET in Green/Black Plaid. The emerald coloring is stunning…….love it! Had been eyeing this it for a while. Great vest I bought mine L-Long.

I've had the Filson wool vests and jackets for 30 plus years...love them. We own a horse farm on a river so we are tough on items. I own a ton of Filson items, bags, hats, coats, vests, boots, belts, etc. I've given them as gifts for years. I have recently found Filson has lost some of the quality and the majority of the customer service that caused me to be so loyal. I believe their wool is still outstanding and I do agree that vest is great out on the farm as well as going to dinner with the wife. Nice video!

Hello I agree and find these vests just great the down and mackinaw i also have the mackinaw cruiser. just doing an order now, I am interested in these tin cloth pants and wondering what you recommend, I am looking at the “5 pocket tin cloth”. Do you like the double or the oiled versions? Thanks Daran

Hi, I purchased the tin cloth vest. I’m a hat maker in southern Louisiana so wanted a work vest to layer over my shirts during the day instead of an apron because I like the look of a vest. I also hunt from time to time. Question, is the oily residue going to dry up more? Concerned about it getting on everything. I just got the vest in the mail and want to make sure it’s right for me before popping the tag and wearing it. Thanks.

yes, the proof on the jacket will quickly wear and become less shiny until you re-proof it. dont be alarmed if it weeps the first day or to if its warm out. a couple days it will feel more like canvas

How tall are you and how much do you weigh? I usually wear tall shirts. I’m 6’5 225 with a long torso. I really like the red plaid but it doesn’t come in long. Just wondering because you look pretty tall yourself.

The wool vest is a 46, the other 2 are XL. An older 46 is basically a XL available today. Although all three are XL, the tin vest runs small and the down vest runs big. Thanks for watching!

All the work vest at to dayum short. This is a problem I hear and is the #1 complaint and these manufactures could careless about the worker

Especially the tin cloth vest, ridiculously short. Does the length increase the larger the size? A medium fits great all but the length, would a large be longer? And maybe it's just me but my supposed pre shrunk waxed cotton has shrunk just from getting wet and letting it air dry...... Oddly it shunk it length the most!!!!!!!!!
