Just received my drum today and I cannot stop practicing! Love it so much I’m sleeping with it so I can play it first thing! This is one of my favorite songs. Thank you so much for posting the notes, extremely beneficial. The sound is so ethereal I want to use it with prayers and meditation; it gives me so much peace. Thanks a Thousand 🌸💖🌸

This may be a silly question, but what is this drum tuned to (major, minor, etc)? I'm considering starting to play the tank drum, and am not sure which I should get.

D major. But because this was play using numbers notation, so what the tune is not important.

Is this drum comes with specific setting like D major or something?

Hi Ruth, Not sure if you're still interested in learning the tongue drum but I was reading your comment and wanted to let you know that Simple Tank Drum have now compiled a downloadable book with many lovely tunes in it. It costs $25.00 U.S.D. i have just downloaded this book, but I'm still waiting for my 15 tone tongue drum to arrive. I believe this book is for a 14 and 15 tone drum but please verify for yourself. 8 note is too small range of note. But i think you can play only the melody without the high note or low note.
