So now we have 4 different pencils and 3 different keyboard cases that are almost the same size but don't work with the entire iPad lineup. Very good for the environment if you have to buy all new accessories, even if the old ones still work perfectly once you consider upgrading (even from Pro 2022 to Pro 2024). What's particularly annoying is that it's often not a hardware issue, just a software limitation to boost sales.

The point was the waste. Is you have 4 ipads none support the other keyboard or pencil. So now you have 4 tablets 4 pencils and 4 keyboards. Waste. Like you said, if you have the latest gen which now is the 5th tablet 5th pencil and 5th keyboard you will most probably forget about the others. So if you do not sell the other they become waste

@@gabrieldipse6525 do you really think companies like apple doesn't study market capacity before production? They all run business based on numbers. If they don't then they will have those roe problem. So these companies don't just wake one day start production. So waste is not the factor.

Wacom does actually have a BATTERY STYLUS called AES. Which performed only slightly better than Microsoft's N-Trig tech. Lenovo loved using AES, the Google Chromebook Slate used AES as well. Edit: The one benefit of EMR tech though, is that TILT, is digitizer based and not PEN based. Since I can take a Note 4 Stylus which didn't have a digitizer that could accept tilt, and get tilt on a Tab S3 which was the first Tab to accept Tilt. Though, that Note 4 stylus doesn't play too nicely with the Tab S9 and S24 Ultras. I think Samsung and Wacom tweaked the frequencies slightly. You really have to push hard on that Note 4 stylus to get some "ink" flowing.

On Wacom, the barrel orientation is done on the pen - they have a different pen, called the Wacom Art Pen (that looks like a marker pen), that can track the orientation of the barrel. Also, the Wacom Art Pen only works with the Cintiq and Intuos (if that line still exists) line of their tablets. However, I don't know if Wacom rolled that barrel-tracking functionality into their current line of Wacom Pro Pens.

@@haruyanto8085 In terms of efficiency, yes that is true and it draws much less power but if your looking at those types of Desktop CPU's in performance then its a different story (watch any M2 Ultra vs 13900K comparison) so I don't know where you're getting "M1 is better than most i9's" yeah maybe in a 2019 Macbook running on 40 watts with loud fans or like half of laptops but in an iPad it's a different form factor capable of specific limited things but still its a decent-ish device. As for using those "PC level chips" in the iPad the capabilities are still hamstrung by software because of Apple not wanting the iPad to step on the MBP's toes meaning you get some functionality but in the iPad way that doesn't make it feel like you are able to do drastically the same things so proabably even a M1 vs M4, apart maybe some AI stuff but most of it functionally the same (it may be faster in some ways but it's not like transitions from Intel to M Series) maybe WWDC will change some things but Apple is probably *never* going to give MacOS on iPad. Also the X Elite/Plus does have a GPU and NPU (in a similar fashion to Apple as it's ARM), now it's great that competition is here but I doubt it's going to beat to match Apple at it's price point now anyways, it's Intel GPUS all over again.

But if you use your phone as a Social Media Machine, or in this case the iPad as a form of consumption device, then you can make that argument that iPhone will rope you back in. But I feel like this largely stems from the fact that we can only buy one device, and sort of live without using one of the other, and if you're technically inclined and watching videos from these channels then you should get an Android. Because somehow I feel it is so easy to hate on Apple Products to just being overpriced, when in fact they are really pushing boundries in many areas of tech. And innovation requires a lot of R&D costs. Vision Pro for example, is a reflection of the tech advancement Apple can achieve. Not saying apple doesn't overcharge for crazy prices like the RAM & storage upgrade. I just feel it's nice to sometimes appreciate the little things that the company also brings to the world. And hopefully, other competitors can catch up so the price will come down and the tech can eventually become widespread.

You can replace that as it wears down. Plus it means that the default state for the screen is high clarity and deep blacks. I know from my experience with the OLED Steam Deck that you ruin those blacks with textured glass-badly enough that it's impossible not to notice it constantly.

What tf do you expect? It's a peak tech in its category, there's barely anything to improve on. Besides, they must review the new tech, especially from major brands, regardless of the scale of improvement.

I wonder how useful the new iPad pro would be as a reference panel for like photo editing. Like you just get a big midrange LCD for your mac display and extend the display to your iPad just to make sure the colors look right. I kindof doubt it'd be cheaper to get a second monitor just for color correctness and get an iPad Air instead of just opting for the Pro.

The new Pencil Pro works like a calligraphy brush. Will be popular in Asia.

The ability to adjust the rotation with rolling the pencil is gonna be huge for certain artists, for example in Arabic calligraphy where there are specially oriented brushes for certain fonts that are nearly impossible to get without. Super nice to see!

I am actually in love with iPad, used one sometime ago until I reverted back to Samsung tab. Here in Africa, the prices of Apple products are insanely pricey! Wish they could do something about that, have a way to make it more affordable. In all, Apple has done very good with the latest products as usual. Kudos to them!

It’s amazing that burn-in is always a term I hear when people talk about OLED. It makes sense given how the tech works. But in my own experience no OLED screen I have used for years has ever done it. But I’ve had many IPS displays with most being from Apple on the iPad, MacBook Pro, and iMac burn in like crazy. Anyway I’m excited to see where this new screen tech goes.

After the brightness was mentioned i looked at my 6 year old ipad pro how much i have it turned down. I am about 35% so my eyes are in the comfort zone. The brightness only is relevant for outdoor use in Sunlight (for me]

Few questions: 1. Are the cameras on these new iPads the same as before, especially on the Air? 2. Will the Gen 2 Apple Pencil work with wither of these new iPads? 3. Do the magnets interfere with the front facing cameras in any way? And could there be any reliability issues with them in the long run? 4. Battery life of the new Air? 5. Does the new Air support the same Thunderbolt performance of the previous Pros' USB C port?

Judging by all the videos I have seen. The tandem display seems to be super reflective and is going to create problems with users who have cataract issues. Therefore the display right now (its first iteration) has to be bought with layer coating they are charging extra for.

When you review the new ipads could you touch on the front facing camera placement in regards to face ID? I primarily use my current ipad pro in portrait mode, and I'm somewhat worried that face ID is going to be cumbersome with the camera on the landscape side of the ipad. (Mainly due to inadvertently covering the camera while holding the ipad)
