yes but we dealt with substantial injuries for 2/3 of the starters we had an even Elandon Roberts got hurt. Queen is a solidified stud who gives us depth and a ROCK in the middle. let’s be excited!

Queen pick up was EPIC! (Yes, I'm old) Especially when you consider the light off-ball ILB field in this years draft. The Steelers NEEDED a reliable ILB for a long long time and it's harder than ever to find a great one these days in the draft.

We have been not able to fill in that position ever since the horrible accident with shazier so I'm happy we got a player like Patrick queen and from our rivals 🙏

Panthers fans are hyped for no reason. Both teams won the trade, we didn’t want Dionte they didn’t want Jackson. Neither are stars, but both are solid starters. Steelers move up about 20 something picks which is solid

The Quarterback Room just got 100% better. Pickett thought because he was a first-round pick he was the annointed starter. His fate was sealed when he said there was nothing he could learn sitting on the sidelines . Getting Patrick Queen should scare the heck out of the rest of the AFL teams

2 weeks ago i traded for russ and got queen in fa on my madden season. And it came true😂 i cant believe it still. Queen is big for us. The hole our defense has had since Ryan. Im pumped. We got a qb with Something to prove and can make the throws. No more under throwing or missed throws. We have a real o.c. who was a head coach. I cant wait

I’m a browns fan, and let me say I am quite scared. Patrick Queen is huge, and then Derrick Henry, if used correctly, will run us over. We literally built our defense to stop Lamar as the primary running threat, JOK and delpit opposite sides filling for QB scrambles. Scarys tuff

Can he be Russ? Lol, his stats/play last season is better than what we had from the QB position. Again, with a better team around him, he can be enough to take this team to at least a playoff win imo. At least.

Fact is, complain about the Steelers Offense all you want for the past three years, the DEFENSE has not been elite. They have elite talent, but the production as a UNIT (not individuals) has been far from elite. This year is time, this defense must be 2023 chiefs/ravens D good at least, at best 2008-2005-2010 Steelers good.

Thank you Kyle for saying exactly what I think and feel about my Steelers getting back to post season supremacy.

A little weird to go on about the leadership on defense - Heyward and Watt were mentioned - but also spend time thinking so hard about whether patrick queen can give speeches.

Holcomb looked OK, I really didn’t see him do all that much, and then he had that bad knee injury. There have been no updates on Holcomb, so he isn’t really in the picture atm, as far as I know. I thought Elandon played really well, and seemed like a great team guy. I thought Kwon and Eric Rowe played well too, I hope they bring them back and give them a chance to compete.

The droughts in the modern era have been during the times we didn’t have a franchise QB. If you can’t take the bad times then you’re not a fan. I know they need a center, but I think they should sign Kamren Curl from Washington. I hope they get a better corner than Donte Jackson. He’s just going to get picked on like Levi. And just like Diontae Johnson, Conner doesn’t fit the narrative. If Cade Stover is still on the board in the 4th round he would be the one who fits the bill.

I'm going to say it now. If Russell Wilson throws for 26 touchdowns and less than 10 interceptions, that's a formula to beat any team come playoff time. Including the Chiefs. Including the Ravens. Including the Bills who basically lost everyone in FA. KP8 threw 6 touchdowns in 2023. And the Steelers went to the playoffs. You're telling me if we add 20 more touchdowns, that's not Super Bowl contention? People aren't mathing the math.

Seahawks slipped on Queen

Crazier is that Queen was somewhat mediocre for several years before last season. And even crazier is Ravens seem to find new talent to replace such players leaving. Not sure why Steelers don't have the ability to draft and train/teach. They have lost their edge. Could it be the HC? Not sure but this isn't the Steelers of a decade ago.

Does Myles Jack come back? He has experience as both ILB and OLB and did well (especially considering he was coming off couch when he signed late in the season). Having experienced, versatile people like Jack and Peterson helped keep my guys competitive when injuries ravaged the defense last year. Russ is 36. He was a top tier QB back when Cam Newton and Andrew Luck were top tier. The bar seemed to change when QBs like Josh, Burrows, Watson, Mahomes and Lamar came along. To squeak into the playoffs with Rudolph and Pickett, it should play easier with Russ but it’s not getting them through the AFC gauntlet.

If Boyd is going to be this difficult time to move on this is a business you don't have time to play a game. Other player's are out there and you'll miss out on them and get nothing.

To be honest, it’s probably going to be more of the same. Sure there will be some fun games, tons of headache games but idk that Russ and Queen are enough to really make this team AFC conference contenders or even divisional round contenders. Let’s see what happens in the draft and whether the OLine gets help from a good center and a RT while they move Jones back to LT. They’ll need another receiver cause CAIII ain’t the one. Hopefully Trice gets healthy and can go and develop like Peezy Jr has. IDK maybe the Pittsburgh identity needs to be completely changed in order for something big to happen
