Alton Towers for me. Due to the fact that I’ve grown up with it probably but I think it’s more aesthetically pleasing to the eye with all the gardens and towers, but I’m sure Thorpe park is great too and hopefully I will be able to go someday! ❤️🎢

Alton requires a lot of walking. Both have great rides.

I love the theming in Alton Towers. Nemesis is my all time favourite. Thorpe has a wider variety so both are good for different reasons

Alton towers feels more like a 'theme' park with better theming throughout the park. Although swarm has the best theming of any single UK ride. Towers also has more, and better Rollercoasters, but Thorpe Park has a great selection of flat rides. Its difficult, but Alton Towers just feels a bit more special, especially if you stay in resort and enjoy water park, spa, golf and resaurants. Cant wait to find out what SW9 is. Hoping for a ride similar to Cosmic Rewind.

Alton Towers I grew up with that park I made so many memories there it’s always in my heart❤ I’ll never forget the time I went in 2023 that was my first time 🤩 I love it because it’s my local park❤

Alton Towers, I grew up with that thing. Its got this magical feel to it, Thorpe just doesn't have that same vibe. I think it's more modern, despite opening 1 year before Towers.

I'm from belgium and here whe have something called 'Kazoo' (yes, like the instrument) its a vacation for kids and stuff but i went to the uk with them and went to Thorpe park so i only know the rides there

Thorpe park as the rides even though not many are short and good plus my family is awaiting the new ride in thirpe park

I have never been to thorpe park, but towers will always be the best no matter what

I have never been to Thorpe park, but I’ve been to Alton towers and EVERY SINGLE RIDE IS AMAZING AND IT HOLDS A VERY STRONG PLACE IN MY HEART

Alton towers has a special place in my heart went a couple weeks ago bc im tall enough for smiler and i can easily say best day ever

I went to alton towers once and to thorpe park twice. Loved alton towers while thorpe park didnt blow my mind. It bothers me that thorpe park doesn’t have a theme - the area looks just like a piece of concrete with a bunch of rides, it’s small. Alton felt a lot nicer to walk around. Also the fact thorpe is close to london there’s lots of people always and mostly really annoying kids who wanna jump the queue, which i didn’t see in alton towers.

Alton is way better imo, better rides, also i kinda like the walks between the rides.

currently at the quarry walk cabins.. hitting Alton Towers in the morning with the kids.. cant wait

Me as oblivion I don't know what to pick bc I like thrope park and Alton towers

both good choices but my favourite would be..... Chessington! Chessington has a lot of rides for people who like fast rides but don't want to go upside down. and I just can't get enough of dragons fury, vampire, crock drop and cobra

Alton is better but thorpe is still really good. Went in 2022 season, Swarm was running amazingly and of course stealth was incredible

Worlds firsts don’t mean anything. Both parks are great but I would take Alton Towers over Thorpe Park any day if the week. The overall experience is better and rides like Nemisis despite not having records are my favourite. Although with Nemisis closed for re-tracking currently, my decision may be slightly closer than normal

Alton Towers. More rides I love and just a better day out. I do like the rides at Thorpe park but it doesn’t feel as family friendly, was there when there was a stabbing and overall atmosphere is just not as good. Saw is one of my faves though

Alton towers are great for teenagers and Thorpe park is good for adults however both are great for anyone ❤️

Alton towers has a castle, is basically a giant country park with lakes and has sky cable cars with beautiful views. There are also way more things to do for children there. Easily wins.

I rather pick Thorpe park becuase 1 new ride is coming out 2 it will expand 3 it will get more upgrades and stealth is 3rd excelerater most fast under 2 seconds smiler no becuase it had a crash and broke to legs and Thorp park had parkvibes fright nights and carnival oktoberfest

They’re both good in their own ways but for me I prefer Alton towers. It’s my home park and even though it requires a lot of walking it’s so fun!

Thorpe, Sorry guys that is were i overcame my fear of rollercoasters and much easier to get around in and rides are better. Dont hate

The wicker man was one of the worst rides I went on I was so excited and you know bc it's rough I nearly twisted my neck after coming of that ride I felt that I had pulled a muscle right on my shoulder and all the pain was going threw my neck

OMG Same I love The smiler But yeah I think Thorpe has more thrills

Trust me you do not wanna go on oblivion or thirteen, thirteen is actually a scary ride even for the minimum of 1.2 cm but it is a big drop comparing to that size and don’t forget the drop under the floor and going backwards but oblivion is scary as it goes up and drops down all the way till it goes underground… Secret: the Hyperion used to be the longest rollercoaster 🎢 in Poland as it went all the way so far not even I can see it from the park as it goes from the park till the end of the parking lots!

i think Alton towers is better because i can only go to one without much driving since Alton towers is only a 2 hour drive and i know half of my family can go on most of the rides without getting to scared to go on but Thorpe park has a 5 hour drive and i dont think any of my family except me would want to go on stealth which if i go i definitely will go on if i find oblivion (which i will have to ride next year) is fun and i am addicted to riding the smiler when i go to Alton towers (i do ride everything else though)

Thrill wise. Thorpe Park wins hands down. Alton towers is much more tame in terms of thrilling rides and is more geared towards younger audiences whereas thorpe park has more thrilling rides for adults to enjoy

I feel like Alton towers you get a feeling of Being in a proba theme park , a bit like universal , of course universal is better! But you get that feeling it’s hard to explain I’m sure other people relate! But Thorpe park is basically just a bit of land with great rides!

Mine would be Thorpe park as they have better rides plus Chessington world of adventure's is not so far away from it and I can go to Alton towers any time plus I get bored really quickly if I go too many times there
