Awesome update! I believe that those groves are for a stress point as the track expands but I think they are used for the switch track like you said and I had a look at a pov of hyper coaster and it had those on the switch track. So I am unsure as the switch track is meant to be at the front that’s what the rebar is for coming out of the ground and if you look at the front it looks like there is a little piece extending from the track which might help it slide. But as you said we will just have to wait and see. I look forward to more updates! 👍
