    It says in Shakespeare's Twelfth Night: "Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them," and this could not be more true across the competitive walks of life such as sports and esports. Sick quote as well.

    You forget that talent might dictate the style you are playing. A Get_right might realized early enough that he cant compete through raw aim so he uses a different approach. While a forest just tries to go ham in the same situations because he knows he is/was able to.

    jordan Hepburn reflections are often done with old players that have clear memory of old tournaments and games. considering the fact that s1mple is 20 and is still developing his career, he probably won’t be on reflections for a while

    How incredible is it though? Even though he is still young and still developing; I feel like a reflections would already be interesting for a few things like his early career, rise to fame and up untill this point. I think you're right, though.. The reflections might be even better later on in his career. Also; what the fuck OP? "Do reflection with s1mple"? Do you think you get to make demands like that? lmao

    There's been a growing sentiment in US basketball over last several years that the "big men", who typically hit their height young, tend to not work as hard or as often because their sheer physicality carried them through so much of their early career. Dwight Howard and Carmelo Anthony are probably good examples from this generation

  • @gnomehanslan1430

    @gnomehanslan1430

    6 жыл бұрын

    Yeah, he did lose his sanity along the way. The sad part is that by the time he just lost his sanity, there was still a whole lot of potential left untapped, IMHO. As much as a legend he is now, and has feats still unsurpassed... I reckon that had his sanity not been lost for a good while, he would've become much more than what he was.

  • @polborta2410

    @polborta2410

    Yes , I would argue that Bobby Fischer was slight above them on the dedication. Because Fischer was 100% dedicated to chess at the age of 7

  • @gnomehanslan1430

    @gnomehanslan1430

    6 жыл бұрын

    But here's the thing, though. While I do bring up sanity when it comes to talent and dedication, I do count longevity in the professional part of it. It was arguable that Fisher was, overtime, losing his sanity bit by bit, so the talent and dedication on display doesn't really show enough in terms of volume (though quality is not in question) due to losing his sanity later on, thus why I think his talent and dedication in terms of length and scale, his talent and dedication is still, IMHO, debatable on whether he is the most dedicated and talented player in any sport, thus why I brought up Kobe and Jordan (though Jordan's got off his rocker after his Wizard stint).

    i actually believe that they have the same talent ceiling. it is just that their system and how they approach the game is so structured that they dont play "loose" counter strike and let others do what they want. if they did you would see dupreeh and device and magisk ripping heads off and be like, these players are insanely talented.. but rather they play structured cs because it is harder to break through them and have more consistency.

    Coldzera's not necessarily talented, he's just dedicated. Like, Coldzera practices a certain play style to make sure he doesn't have to do insane flicks or spray downs. Niko and S1mple, especially S1mple, are players who are talented in a sense that they can be out of position, but have such good hand-eye coordination and reaction that they will punish players who do want to punish them. You will never see Coldzera out of position, but you will see Niko and S1mple in random positions and still destroy the competition.

Like how psychologists say there is not just one IQ that defines everyone(interpersonal talent, mathematical talent and spacial talent to name a few). You could definitely make an argument that dedication is just another kind of talent and it is a talent shox and forest lack, but make up for it with other forms of talent.

  • @superexcel5550

    Alex DeLarge except that was actually a more intelligent and passive play than ballsy and aggressive. Ballsy would be if he tried to peak out into them, something that should never work, but his aim was so on point that he killed three before they got him. Instead he pushed through the smoke, the bomb carrier just happened to be there on the other side and therefore his impact in the round was literally based on luck.
