If only it had been Balin there instead of Dwalin, I feel like it would have been way more impactful to see Thorin swing his sword at the dwarf hes known the longest and is closest to

@@MasterPlo That would be interesting to see, but to me this is maybe just as powerful because this always stoic and firm dwarf, a character you would never hear disagree with his king or refuses anything, who never doubted his king sees how much his king has changed for the worse, which is hard for him to watch.

its kinda in earthly terms how some dictators act, you have everything but you are nothing, there is no country and you only care for yourself.

"I have no right to ask this any of you but will you follow me one last time" touched my heart and my favorite quote

"Loyalty, Honor, A Willing Heart, I could ask for no more." I Love Thorin! He is the Best character in the whole trilogy. So Sad he had to die. "And I thought to myself then, there is one I could follow, there is one I could call king."

Thorin was the only 3 dimensional dwarf of the trilogy. Got more development than all the other dwarves.

LOTR movies have many strenghts in terms of storyline, coherence etc but what they were able to do with Thorin WOW it's like a shakesperean tragedy, it's wonderful. Thank you!!

I couldn't stand watching the Hobbit trilogy mainly because of this dude. His acting is mediocre and feels waay too forced. P.s. I think the entire trilogy stinks too and he's definitely one of the main reasons.
