Just so you know, devs said kratos was holding back immensely, even thor was but not much. In the last fight thor unleashed all of his might against kratos who was only showing some of his rage and thor got defeated. Kratos didn't kill thor, he didn't want to.

Also, Rafael Grassetti himself, the art director , confirmed in a podcast that Mjolnir is designed to be more powerful than the Axe. People really are looking Thor down.

I swear, people overlook Thor. Man was drunk the entire game and his first encounter with kratos, he killed him, and proceeded to bring him back to life because he wanted to have a fight. Thor was weakened during their last fight because of fighting Jörmungandr and he was drunk, that's why kratos was able to get the upper hand. But if they had a rematch after that without them holding back Kratos will have a tough challenge.
