Thoise: India’s Northernmost Air Base Against The
Indian Air Force Station Thoise and its gravity for India's deterrence against the Pakistan-China two-front threat is the focus of 'The Himalayan Frontier', Part X, our series of on-the-ground documentaries from Eastern Ladakh and Siachen. "Thoise lies in Shyok valley. It is a base at such a location that assets deployed can be useful for both fronts," Air Commodore D.S. Handa, Air Officer Commanding, Indian Air Force (IAF) Station, Leh told us. In this episode, we film the Indian Air Force's assets including the C-130, Il-76, Mi-17, ALH Rudra, Apache and, the Embraer at the strategically located base in Ladakh. The two IAF stations in Ladakh-Leh and Thoise are critical for the Indian Army's deployment at the Siachen Glacier. Critical IAF Bases in LadakhThe Thoise Air Force Station is an essential part of the military's deterrent all along the AGPL- the Actual Ground Position Line and the LOC- the Line of Control with Pakistan as well as along the LAC- the Line of Actual Control with China. Continuing our series on India's Pakistan-China two-front threat, 'The Himalayan Frontier', our team of Amitabh P. Revi, Rohit Pandita, and Karan Marwaha also visits the 'Siachen Healers' of the Army Medical Corps', who save lives and limbs in the sector. We make a trip to the Indian Army's 'Veer Marathas' to watch an India cricket match. We also meet local schoolchildren, on their first trip outside Ladakh, thanks to the Indian Army's Operation Sadhbhavna and an Indian Air Force Il-76.

@@arpansaxena137 it does not matter. Pakistan took down a Mig 21 and a SU30MKI in 2021. PLA took out 20 Indian soldiers at Galwan Valley in 2020. Indian military is the perpetual loser. You are lucky that China has not kicked your butt recently like 1962 again. LOL

Visually stunning and absolutely breathtaking! All my Top Gun cravings are 100% satisfied! I am used to most of these planes flying over the top of my home, but seeing them up close & personal is truly delightful! This kind of series is the way to go for SNG, as you can see from the number of views! Looking forward to the Nyoma episode. It was wonderful to hear the children's voices. I know one thing for sure and I speak from experience, that jo lagan, hunar aur resilience Indian bacchon mein hai, woh duniya mein aur kahin nahi hai - all they need is the right nurturing habitat to let it shine through. And GOI has to provide it to them. So happy that the Indian Army is doing so in such a remote & stark area.

Bhai aap log gazab ki cinematography kr rahe ho Bhai, this is some gold standard sh"t. Absolutely loved it. especially the scene where Apache, dhruv Mk4 and Mi-17 were taking off simultaneously.
Arshpreet kaur is so fluent. Military woman are so well spoken.
Although AH64E is best in terms of firepower, avionics, sensors & maneuverability but Its our homegrown Rudra that steals the show.. ALH MKIII may look cute & amiable little lifting machine but in armed version with all sensors & weapon pod it truly display it's beauty with beast character.. Kudos to team for capturing these machine in raw & beautiful form..

Besides Operating air fields near china frontier, the indian political leadership should give free hand to army during times of conflicts During 1962 china war and 1998 kargil conflicts, the army operations were restricted by indian leadership
