What is the closest city/town to the lake? And also would April be a good time to go? And also doing it solo?

You can park your car at Kandersteg.The place is extremely crowded, doing it solo is no problem at all. April is not ideal because the landscape is way more spectacular in summer/autumn. Maybe this was too late and you already visited the Oeschinensee. If so, what are your thoughts?

Couldn you fly a drone there without any problems mate? I’m going in October but I’ve read that the flying restrictions are tight

I didn't have any problems flying my drone there. On the BAZL website you can check out where it is allowed to fly and at the Oeschinensee its allowed :)

It maybe seems to be smaller now but in fact it isn't I think. I am not aware of anything that the lake has shrunk

It's Not poison snake. It's a harmless "Blindschleiche". But If you See some snake with a zig-zag Texture IT IS Most potionaly a poison snake.

Is possible go by car in the lake?

You can park the car there at the cable car station and then go up by the cable car or just hike to the lake :)
