Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2024 is in preview now, it should be out in the middle of this year, honestly by the time a user knows these editions there is literally almost no reason to use the consumer editions unless you want to be a beta tester, you want to be bombarded by Microsoft services or need a bleeding edge peripheral. Microsoft treats their users like morons, as many other operating system companies do, unfortunately.

You can actualy store other files on your rufus drive than iso so thats a good thing for rufus! I just inatalled it on my new oendrive at the day it arrived an then used it as a win10-11 installer and general file storage

Windows 10 end of support in January 13, 2032 is only for Enterprise, consumer versions end in January 9, 2029 although Microsoft expect us to pay for security updates by end of support.

regular ltsc gets 5 years of updates, the IoT version gets 10 years of updates, they're idenntical becides that IoT is intended for embedded and point-of-sales devices like Windows Embedded POSReady 2009 or POSReady 7.

If you do not license this properly, Windows will shut down every hour. If you're going to use this on actual hardware you need to purchase a legitimate license or you will have problems with this.

no, you guys use the evaluation iso, if you use the full iso it act like regular windows 10, and also "activating" windows is very easy to do.

So I downloaded British English version of LTSC eval from the official Microsoft site, converted it into the full IoT version and used an activator for it. Works perfectly if you want a version other than the US version

Got as far as selecting the drive, but it could not find any drives to install on. I've tried loading a bunch of relevant drivers from Intel onto a USB to help it discover the storage drive but nothing is recognised. Any tips? Brand new Asus notebook.

Try using a different USB drive. Try changing Legacy to UEFI or vice versa

@@AndriyTech works pretty good and I got a oem license for it so no monthly subscription on it and with a few tweaks you can get the microsoft store and xbox live services installed

Just something to note, evaluation ISOs is temporary, can not be activated, I could help with giving you an image without evaluation 😊

22H2 contains no new features or bugfixes, and is just a version bump to extend the end of support, which is not applicable to LTSC builds as they have 10 year of support from release.

Very useful video for everyone that is not interested in upgrading to Windows 11. As you are relatively new to youtube channel, let me praise your diction, slow, calm and clear. Just a slight correction in your English spelling - you should read most of words that start with a "W" as an "U" and not a "V". So the word Windows you should read as "Uindows" and not "Vindows" as you usually do. Just a question of a little practise, most of your English is perfect.

Why do people running win11 like to leave the default desktop image and menu position so that everyone knows they are using 11? I would not be keen to show it off. Its win 8 v1 all over again. Ie too simplified.

you should not install the n version. they remove some video/audio codecs.

I like Windows 10

I dont get why this version isn't available for all users who wish to stick with windows 10. I see what windows 11 is doing, and i will not make the jump until they quit making anti-consumer moves. For me i guess i will move to Linux Mint unless they make this version of 10 available for everyone with a valid windows 10 license

after win10 goes EOL mainstream I think i'll just switch to linux mint. I was intrigued by a lite enterpirse version of win10 but i have no interest in purchasing another microsoft license...

@@AndriyTech Debian 12. By the way it is possible, that Windows Activation keys do not work the same on Enterprise edition. As far as I can remember, they were on different licensing options, so a home desktop user with a Win key may not be able to use it on this edition - I guess it can be tested to confirm, if this is the case.

I have just downloaded an ISO from Microsoft's website some 4.7 GB large with the file name: 19044.1288.211006-0501.21h2_release_svc_refresh_CLIENT_LTSC_EVAL_x64FRE_en-us EVAL, as in Evaluation? What does that mean?

​@@YamiNogun it's not, it's the non-IoT LTSC evaluation version. But you can easily turn it into non-eval IoT LTSC

Evaluation version is the full copy of non-IoT LTSC windows other than lacking the skus files of the full version, which means you can never activate it. It gives you a 90-day "evaluation period", in which you can enjoy all the features, but with the machine shutting down everything 1 hour.However, you can turn it into the full version through adding the extra skus files and configuring through cmd. You can also turn it into the IoT version with the right key in the settings app, since the system files aren't really different. Afaik there's no way a personal user can activate IoT legitimately, but you can use an activator from GitHub and get an activation up to 2038.
