How to install Windows 11 LTSC Made for Old Computers

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

This is first Version of Windows 11 LTSC Made for Old unsupported computers today I'm showing how to install and test this amassing version IoT LTSC released by Microsoft as evaluation copy just for testing and playing around with it till the stable release will be ready in latter of this year 2024 👉 tips2fix.com/windows-11-ltsc-...
Now If you decide that you want to install Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC using one of the provided ISO files in the microsoft official website, you won't be able to uninstall it so you have to be careful, and also if you chose to upgrade your actual windows version with this test version , after you install Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC Evaluation, you won't be able to use the recovery partition on your PC to go back to your previous version of Windows.
So a clean installation of your former operating system will be required, and you will need to re-install all your programs and data.

Thank you very much for sharing this info. You have a new subscriber to your channel. I have 2 questions. 1) Why it says on the right of your screen @ 11:55 that " Windows license is expired"? And How are we going to uninstall older versions we have (such as Win 7), in order to install this version on our old laptop? Or we don't have to uninstall our old version?

You can permanently activate the IoT releases through digital licensing with HWID activation. Since LTSC 2021 the non-IoT releases only support volume licensing. Unlike digital licensing, volume licensing doesn't survive reinstalls. The closest the non-IoT versions can get to permanent activation is with KMS38, which lasts until January 19, 2038. The IoT versions also have 10 years of support while the non-IoT versions only get 5 years, so the IoT releases are better.

I've got an ISO of the 24H2 version and it crashes/bootloops my old PC a few seconds after the Windows logo is displayed. The same USB boots fine on other machines and a normal windows 11 ISO boots on the old machine just fine. So wouldn't really say its the immediate go-to for older machines. EDIT: As I've mentioned in my reply comment, for 24H2 your CPU needs to have the SSE4.2 instruction set, otherwise it will crash and restart at the Windows Logo. Apparently this wasn't included in Intel CPUs until 2008 and AMD CPU's until 2011. So if you're trying to install 24H2 on a super old machine, make sure it has SSE4.2.

@@Tips2Fix No I figured out what it is. For 24H2, Microsoft have made it a requirement that your CPU has SSE4.2. Originally it was going to be SSE4a which meant 2007 etc. processors were good. 23H2 will continue to work but for these older machines, 24H2 won't even boot.

They're really not because this version of Windows isn't for the general public as the legal way of obtaining it has to go through their Volume Licensing Agreement. You can't buy keys for this. This is geared towards Enterprise clients and for machines that need to be kept running dubbed "mission critical" eg. Machines in Hospitals, Banks and so on, so they can't afford to have the mishaps of normal versions of Windows that get constant updates that always end up messing up more stuff than addressing actual problems. And aside from not having bloatware this version doesn't demand TPM and despite some argueing that those machines are behind heavy firewalls and have sparse contact with the internet, I'm more inclined to believe it's actually because if Microsoft tried to put roadblaocks in terms of hardware eligibility or anything that could potentially hinder those machines, their Enterprise clients would just take their business elsewhere. If the focus was really security, what would make more sense: That a hacker with malicious intent would target your average folk computer with ransomware or a corporation, a bank, even a Hospital? I believe it makes more sense a machine that serves those places would benefit way more from TPM than your regular home user computer unless we're thinking home users that are notoriously public figures with deep pockets and/or lots of influence. The TPM for normal users is Microsoft wanting people to turn their Windows 10 machines into e-waste and forking out cash on new computers so Microsoft and its OEM partners can add more zeroes to their earnings reports. It's way easier to bully a normal customer than trying to mess up with Enterprise ones.

@@felipelopes4376absolutely nailed it with what you typed right there. It's not like consumers never go out buy a new PC. They aren't replacing them soon enough for MS and their OEM partners would like. Would it ever be enough? Just keep feeding the greedy. Bullying is totally the right term for what's going on here.

Can I install Windows on an Android tablet? It's not possible to install the full Windows operating system on an Android tablet. However, you can use a free app like Chrome Remote Desktop to control your Windows computer from your Android phone or tablet.

Why would Anyone do this? Windows 11 is full of spyware.. they aren't even hiding it anymore with Recall. If you need a lite version of windows use AME Wizard on your existing OS. It will gut all the bloat, spyware, telemetry, Microsoft Defender and Windows Updates included which is Excellent. It closes all the back doors or possible ways MS can sneak in unwanted spyware they call "Features".

Although I haven't really installed any programs other than HWinfo64 i've got a Mini ITX machine that has a Pentium Gold (Ivy Bridge) with this 24H2 LTSC version working. The hardware vulnerability thing isn't as cut and dry... Remember the last actual hardware vulnerability issues that happened? Spectre and Meltdown? Well those only affected the newer Intel CPUs of the time (2016? 2017?) not the older ones from previous generations. I think only Coffee Lake CPUs were affected (8th gen) If hardware vulnerability was that big of a concearn, the TPM requirement even for LTSC wouldn't be optional unlike on the other versions of Windows 11 were it's mandatory. If people are still using old machines is most likely because they can't afford to. Remember before the Pandemic when there were fewer people working remotely and fewer people playing pc games and using streaming services on record numbers? Microsoft actually said Windows 10 was going to be their last OS. If someone has an old but perfectly functional machine and doesn't rely on stuff from Adobe or crazy Macros, they're way better off trying out Linux rather than turning their machines into e-waste because Microsoft and its OEM partners are greedy

Some people either didn't watch the video or they are really thick and should not own a PC let alone try installing an OS onto one. Win 11 LTSC has very light system requirements he was running it on an old laptop basically it can run on freaking potato but hey if you've got the money to burn and have a low IQ then go out and get yourself a new PC.
