This Will KILL the Suez Canal

Putin’s Secret Plan to DESTROY the Suez Canal. Russia has just over 23,000 miles of coastline and almost 70 major ports. But despite having so much water space, the country is basically landlocked. This is because of one major issue: ice. Giant ice sheets essentially shut down most Russian ports for about half the year. Combine this limited port access with the crushing sanctions imposed by the West, and Russia has basically turned into a warehouse with nowhere to sell its stuff.
That is, until Putin decided the only way forward is to threaten the western dominance by overtaking the most important artery in global trade - The Suez Canal. But how?

You don't understand basic finance and economics. The only user of the routes your showing is Russia. The Suez canal charges everyone who uses it which is basically the entire world a fee for use. Since only Russia would be using these routes, Russia would not be making money off the routes themselves. The other countries would. smh.

The assertion that Russia has "limited manufacturing capabilities" as compared to other developed countries is absolutely wrong, especially if you take into consideration the fact that most developed countries have been losing their industries to China at a steady rate over the past 30 years. It'd be more accurate to state that most developed countries now have "limited manufacturing capabilities" when compared with China. Apart from this, your doc is very interesting. Thanks.

Russia has LOTS of manufacturing capability and what MOST important - is growing it by the day. Tons of new projects and plants being built. It's a country under construction, whereas many of the so called 'developed' countries are old and tired and NOT headed in any promising directions. Why is this video showing the Azov sea and the port of Mariupol as not part of Russia?? And Russia's black sea fleet has not been destroyed as this video implies. It is just fine. Any losses will be recovered in a snap. Not critical at all. Ukraine will soon be capitulating. You guys better prepare instead of spewing anti-Russia propaganda. Very silly.

Western geographical illiteracy is bewildering! Russia has been known as Soviet Union? Are you serious? Russia was part of Soviet Union, the union of 15 countries.

not billion of dollars but trillions of the dollars to expense that project and not easily buid, it longer 50 years in construction. the suez canal is 10 years to build but no mountainous to dig and it longer 190 km. but that project is almost 4,000 km and a lot of highest peak mountain to dig.

People are delusional to believe that Russia and Iran have the economic and technical clout to achieve these massive projects. Just look at some of Russia's present day infrastructure failings. Russia demographic disaster can not sustain such a long plan especially if he keeps mobilizing his citizens for his ill-fated adventure.

Beyond facts, beyond any semblance of reality. The only ships that would ever traverse a canal through Iran would be Iranian or Russian. If you've ever been on an Iranian ship (I have) or seen the state of Russian ships (I have) then this is not something that has any chance of ever happening. No country that has sanctioned Iran or Russia will use the canal.

International trade routes are blood vessels of the humans' economy for both survival and lasting progress - so it make sense that they should be built everywhere where they can satisfy the need/demand and cost/benefit criteria. The more of them in operation the better for both the national and global economy effectiveness and the consumers - so any unfair competition among the owners/operators of those trade routes must be punished and regulated globally by international authority applying the relevant international law. It is highly uncivilised to allow and tollerate the trade routes' owners/operators to hold the law abiding clients (businessess and countries) at ransom via weaponising the service by greed and politics.

Russia and Iran do not have enemies in the west. It is the rouge actions of these countries that separate them from others. These actions are not of the people. They are the work of elites. Mexico wants to do a similar plan to take up lost crossings of the Panama Canal due to drought. Mexico is mostly a peaceful country without radical elements (exclusive of drug cartels). The USA will probably help with this plan.
