Girls On Film is a dance song, mate. Duran Duran started in Birmingham, England. Hungry Like The Wolf (HLTW) was released in 1982. This is the song that broke Duran Duran in America in '82; However, HLTW (NIGHT VERSION) is the version you should hear. This is the version that broke DD in America on radio. You listened to the album/video version but the Night Version has more of a fuller & more powerful sound to it than the album/video version.
This track is massive huge live and when Duran Duran do fashion shows they play this track as the models are on the cat walk so buddy it works both ways I've been a die hard Duranie since 12 years old now 54 still a die hard Duranie because there music 🎵🎶 is wow wow wow wow wow 🥰
Ordinary World and Come Undone are my FAVE of theirs (both 90s), even though I grew up loving them in the 80's. Thanks for the reaction! xox
If you want to sit back and just vibe with music, I highly, highly recommend Duran Duran's "Ordinary World" from 1993.
Yes there British, come undone is my fave. Good to see you doing more reaction's again.
Girls on Film: 1981 (This was the cut for TV "clean" version of the video if you cam believe it.) The entire Rio and Seven & The Ragged Tiger albums are GOOD. Even the non-singles. Also, singles (not on albums/remixes) like Is There Something I Should Know, A View to a Kill and Wild Boys are AWESOME.
♥
These are the world’s top models!!
Planet Earth will always be my favourite along with the Chauffeur
John Taylor said in an interview that with 1982's Rio there was this idea at the time that if you took the best elements of various instruments and put them together that you would have a smash album. They used the Van Halen brown sound in their guitars, which made them sound more "American" on the Rio album.
About Time my favorite band is back on here! One of my favorite Bass parts ever. Yes they are from Birmingham, UK. This is the PG 13 rated clean version done for tv.
Def. British. And they have been credited with ushering in the new era of musical videos.
Duran Duran/The Chauffeur
Hungry Like the Wolf is off of Rio..1982.
This song launched Duran Duran
Ah, the PG-13 version of Girls on Film. There was such controversy when it was released, but MTV only showed this version.
I never liked them when I was a kid but I've really gotten into them as an adult.
You may have heard this song in a commercial for Michael Kors or on a Stranger Things episode in the last year or so
Check out "Save A Prayer", "Notorious", "The Wild Boys", etc.
Great to see this song, it was the first Duran Duran song I heard, love this song!
Love your views & on a completely separate note, you look great without a baseball cap!!
"Are they British?" SIR 🤨
there is another version of this video with the "night version" or 12" version of the song and it is R Rated they had a couple of videos like that.

The other video version of Girls On Film is actually the original version. It was made specifically to played in American dance clubs and that is why the (extended) Night Version of the song is used in the video. Eventually, MTV started a couple of months after the original video release of Girls On Film and the video was edited for cable & mainstream TV. Technically, the video does not have an "R" rating. Duran Duran does not have a video like Girls On Film other than Girls On Film. The only other video that has nudity is The Chauffeur but nothing to the provocative extent of the original Girls On Film video.
the censored video
Definitely British!!!
I CANNOT explain to you, when I was 9 years old, how damned bad I wanted to grow up to be Simon Le Bon! 💯😎🤣
I am not a huge fan of Duran Duran, but “A view to a kill”, “Ordinary world” and “Save a prayer” are really good songs.
Dude, this isn't Enya or Roxy Music (love them both BTW). This is a naughty, drum driven song that was a favorite when I was a teenager. It's like a pop precursor to Disturbed's "Indestructible". Great when you're in the right mood.
Love this, but love the early80s synth music 😊
Hello buddy girl's on film is 1981 then ya got planet earth and careless memories ok hungry like the wolf is 1982 then ordinary world and come on done is 1993 so ya got a massive huge amount of hits missing lol!!! Duran Duran are totally epic awesome amazing band and musicians and Duran Duran are from Birmingham uk 🎉🎉
Come Undone is in my opinion their best track ever made even better with the music video
As you said you're like Jazz, you should listen to "Falling" from the latest album "Future Past" by DD. That is amazing!
Please react to White Lines video by Duran Duran. It is a rap song, and it's just so wonderful. It's about the epidemic in the country at that time of Cocaine. The original was done by Grand Master Flash and Melle Mel, and they are on the track and in the video for it.
They’re British. 😀
You will enjoy "Whitelines" if you enjoy 90's DD. "I Don't Want Your Love" is a banger. But you have a huge catalogue spanning 3-4 decades. Bon apetit!
the uncut version of this is a girl on girl porno... this is the toned down version.
Please give a honest reaction to blind by lifehouse
Please do react on blind by lifehouse
Hungry Like The Wolf was great. That was my DD favourite. I think for bands it’s a problem of writing when you “peak” then what do you do next. Generally they go on a few years after they probably should have broke up. Sounds cruel I know but probably true
I think at this point Duran Duran were quite heavily influenced by the band Japan.
Hungry Like the Wolf was released in 1983.
You have to see and listen to the night version. It was banned but very big in the big in the clubs. Night version is much better than this version.

The night version is called the original video of Girls On Film made specifically for American dance clubs and not made for TV.
Dude, Duran Duran are a British pop band! They are NOT frickin Australian, Okay. This music video got banned on MTV, during prime time airing for its strong sexual content. MTV played the Girls on Film video after 12 pm and late at night. Have a sensational day.
are they British? he has an accent....... No mate. YOU have an accent 😂
This is probably one of my least favorite song from them. I ordinarily love and come undone are my favorites
