@@MrCjosue24 Is a nice little machine for it's intended purpose but the main issue I have is that the LCD display is only functional under windows, under anything else (openWRT, PFSense, Linux, etc) is basically useless. Secondly, the LCD "software" gets flagged as malware, so windows will remove some files thus breaking it 😅... but I will test it with a couple of emu frontends under windows and simply call it a day. For $150 I am actually quite happy with it (plus got a free wireless keyboard & mouse combo)

If you have the money, get one with a N100 over N95. The extra 8 EU's in its processor will help a lot for graphics.

Emulation is the way to go

I bought "Lenovo Legion Go" handheld and i think it's by far the best console for retro because of it's power as it also runs Starfield, Flight Simulator, Alan Wake II etc. natively.

Love the asthetics but its severely underpowered for me to consider it. Pass for me. Thanks for reviewing it man❤

The boxart looks really nice with the jewel cases, especially Saturn & PSP. I definintely want a build like that when I find the right mini-pc. This one is too underpowered though.

This is rad. I don't even need emulation, just a lil PC with Linux installed for home theater PC usage.

Would be kind of cool to see Valve build a consolized version of the Steam Deck! Now I know they did this in the past with the Alienware gaming consoles and you can also just hook your steam deck to a tv but I would just like to see what they can do with a Steam Deck console running Steam OS!

Go the N100 over N95 has twice the GPU EU's. It's the better choice for gaming. Also these CPUs are single channel memory only.

I 100% realize this is an install and play point of view, but I guarantee if you update PCSX2 to the nightly build, it will run PS2 flawlessly.

Now I wonder how a Mini-PC with a Intel N100 cpu compares to this one

Maybe it could run Wii U with the Cemu emulator and Wii with dolphin, I'm guessing it could.

Mad, N95/N100/N305 Alder Lake CPUs are single channel. 😉

​@@brianbabin6333my mistake on the info, but yeah it is single stick of RAM, but they couldnt add another. I had forgot because it seems abnormal but the N95 chipset can only recognize one stick.. but doesnt make sense to have 2 slots then.

Honestly my Xbox series S I feel is still the best choice for a cheap Emulation device. $250 plus $19 for the Dev Kit and you can play everything up to Xbox 360 games and switch back to retail mode and play a plethora of Next Gen games with Game Pass!

You ever sell anything you get? I'm sure you have loads and loads of stuff you don't use and I'm sure you could offload it to us. Just curious because something like this would be awesome to get...

Yep... all the time. www.madpixelshop.com I sell previously reviewed items, stuff from my own collection and more. My online shop helps me to get other items for videos, so its kind of a cycle. Not everything I show on the channel winds up being sold... but Mini PC's usually are always listed as I have no use for them after the videos. The shop is fairly empty rite now as people been wiping it out the past few weeks.. I am adding stuff to it all the time.

At least there is an option to make it two sticks of ram!

Pricing is still the same when I checked, but they have coupons listed you have to click on Amazon that makes it $220 for 1tb, and $180 for 512gb version.

@Madlittlepixel Can you test it out on this Mini PC to see if it works on any Steam games, Epic Games games, DigiPen Institute of Technology games, and other PC games etc like for any players that are against Piracy/Support the Company and wants to play PC games in the Mini PCs. (I know that you did mention about the Wii U games were running slower in this PC, but I want to see if it works on other PC games to see if it's qualified.)

Any computer with an 8th gen intel processor or better will be fine. I use a Lenovo mini pc (model 10T7) that runs PS2 at 2x resolution perfectly. That particular model can be had all day for $100-$150 on the used/refurb market. There is technically no reason why the device in this video wont run PS2, I have a feeling it was software related.

Just make sure of 2 things: CPU single threaded performance is high and has at least 8 cores to handle the more demanding PS3 games. Also, make sure it comes with 2 ram sticks (dual channel memory), it just makes the PC run stuff much smoother. Everything else is just for show and doesn't really matter at the end of the day, any SSD or RAM brand is fine.

Can it run PCSX2? I miss Time Crisis 2.

If you knew anything about emulation u wouldn't be asking stupid questions and replying with even stupider answers. You think a plug and play experience can be sumed up in 5/10 seconds of footage from each console? Marvel vs Capcom 2 isn't even the title you use to show off the Dreamcast. Yeah it's a fan favorite but with it being a 2d game, it will run on a potato.
