I forgot that a lot of animals are able to hold sperm until they're comfortable enough to lay eggs! Back in genetics class, we had to separate male and female fruit flies before they fully matured so the female wouldn't hold the sperm of the wrong male pairing!

These babies have some dominant genes that the parent's didn't possess. If the parent's did have those genes, he would have known as dominant genes, unlike recessive genes, always show. So these babies didn't get their genes from their grandparents!

yes also if they breed with multiple partners in one season(wether by accident or purpose) she can also lay eggs that have genes from a different male snake. remembering a video of a KZreadr where that happened by accident.
