There are foothills in New England compared the Colorado.

I used to live in the Denver area and yes, because of the higher elevation, the air is thinner and may cause nose bleeds. I assume Aspen is at a similar elevation. You will need a few days to adapt to the thinner air, then you're golden. So for a short stay, you may not be able to adapt.

Spring/summer in the Rockies is great. So many come to ski, snowboard, hunt, etc, but just an alpine meadow in bloom during the summer? Can't beat it. We moved to CO in '96.

Btw- the smokey mountains in TN would love to have you all. Dolly Parton has a big theme park there, but there are other awesome things do.

There are terrific mineral hot springs in Colorado. Google one that is close to Aspen. They're wonderful & you'd have a wonderful experience. Plus, it's very healthy for you❤

I really don't understand Carlos reaction😂. He comes from a part of the world that has the most beautiful mountains I have ever seen. I have travelled both Europe and America so I'm surprised at his reaction as they look like little hills in comparison to just the absolute magnificent European mountains.

Remember you were in VERY high elevation with dry air (compared to MA), so all the symptoms you were experiencing is because of that. :) Boston is at sea level while Aspen is 8,000 feet.
