Welcome to The Frey Life daily vlogs! We are Peter & Mary, a married couple in our early 30's, showing the ups and downs of everyday life with #CysticFibrosis, a genetic lung disease that Mary was born with. In August 2019, Mary started a new CF medication that changed the trajectory of our future, and life has changed dramatically - including our son, Elijah, joining our family in December 2021. We also have an adorable standard poodle, Oliver, and a hairless sphynx cat, Harry. It's our hope that these videos can be an encouragement to to celebrate the little things in life and find joy amidst a world full of hard realities!

It like a complete miracle that shes Experienceing!!
34?! Girl you look 20!!! And you are so so strong, thank you for showing us your vulnerability, super brave
So happy to see you again Mary. You look great 👍 love hearing the babies in the background .. so precious!!! Elijah gets more precious with every vlog. Blessings and love to The Frey Life Family 💙💗💙💙💙💙
My dad taught me never be afraid to show your battle scars as it proves you are a survivor 😘 I have extremely long scars on both sides of my hips from operations when I was 12. I wear them with pride in my shirts and swimsuits ❤️😍
Mary, I love your “revenge” on the port by boiling him. 😂😂😂 I wish you a speedy recovery. Cheers to port #3. 🌷
Love the explanation of how the port works, and being able to see it outside the body! I’m a huge medical device nerd, and I must say I learned from the best - you! Thanks for the learning opportunity 😊
Missed you, glad to see you're doing well in recovery.
Elijah's communication is getting more and more verbal, he sounded almost like he was saying the alphabet at the beginning lol! He's adorable! So smart and concentrated on the new toys! And mini baby is also cooing and chatting a lot more now. Are they interacting together more now that mini baby is a bit older?
Having a bath or shower the first time post-surgery feels INCREDIBLE.
So nice to see you looking so well, Mary, and a joy to see Eli playing with the new toys too xxxxxx
I remember singing "life with a lego in your chest!" along with you so many years ago! How far you've come, Mary. :) I miss you guys. edit: also it's so strange you couldn't flush it! That port was definitely due for removal.
Oh my hearing Elijah call Mary “Mommy” is so heartwarming. I can hardly believe he’ll be 2 in December. Mary the cut in the tubing was made during or after surgery. I’m a surgical nurse, your experiment is cracking me up. Internal device can fail over time. 6 years is a good run for a port. Reminder our bodies don’t like foreign agents, in order to protect us, we wall off foreign objects, science testing can only predict so much. Everyone is didn’t and reacts differently. Good luck and hope you have another long run with the new port. ❤

What do you mean by "walling off?" I'm very curious... I find so much about the medical field to be fascinating. If I weren't blind, I'd probably have gone into it in some way. Just hearing her describe what she was doing was amusing. I could see myself doing similar if I had a port or other device they let me keep after its removal. I love this family. They are so beautiful.
I'm glade you got your new port and recovered well. I work in child care so I'm all for developmental toys. Its great to hear Elijah saying mama and daddy. Port science interesting to learn about. Nice to see the family thanks for sharing God bless.
Glad You are recovering well Elijahis so cute playing with his toys
So cool to see your port and the boiling for safety ❤
As a blind person, I am dying to actually hold one of these ports to see what actually goes on. I've seen them on people I knew, but only where they were, never in detail. Mary, I love how you were experimenting, and having funw hile doing it! I wish I could have watched, not just followed the dialogue. So happy hearing baby noises, and you up and about after your port replacement vlog. I'm so grateful God has given you the boys, trikafta (sp?), Peter, so many wonderful years. May you guys have many, many more.
I am so intrigued when you teach us! Love the port tutorial. So glad to see you back but glad you took time to heal
I had an external bar on my wrist for 6 wks when I fell abs crushed my wrist. They placed a metal T looking piece in my wrist. When they removed it I kept it and it’s on my key ring. Glad to see you guys.
I am giggling with the dipping of the port. Loved watching the experience
Elijah is growing so fast! He’s so cute! I’m glad you’re doing better Mary!

I know he will be 2 years in December already..
I've been a fan since almost the very beginning (I tell my friends about my imaginary KZread friends Mary and Peter ;) ) and it is such a joy to see you both so happy and with such full lives - beyond CF. My husband, who has never watched himself but only overheard me watching each night before bed, just commented on how happy you sound, xo

Not to sound like a creeper... I used to dream I got to meet Peter and Mary in person. They moved to NC not even two years before my mom left there :( Not that my childhood home was near Peter and Mary--it was several hours away--but still... I always wonder what it'd be like meeting people I know online.
It's amazing how your lives have changed!! Miracles do happen, you're proof of that. You look so good compared to when I first started to follow your channel ❤❤😊. I'm so happy for you!
Thank you for showing us with the old port (even if it was busted) how it works. I was curious.
Lovely to hear little voices in the background. 💜
Elijah is so bright...and great toys. Splendid picture too❤
So good to see you all! Glad you are doing better Mary. ❤
Good to see the frey's! I have missed watching every day. I know its hard to do so with two kids and Peter working. Always excited to watch a new video!
Love seeing him interact. He is so cute. Miss seeing you all your videos.
There is something about seeing a Dad with their kids, its just so adorable.
I loved your update today Mary.❤ I'm glad to hear the surgeon let you keep your old port. Look's like mine that's on the inside of my body currently with 3 bumps on middle to find the place to access it. I think you had a power port like I do. Was interesting to see the placement of your new one and let me tell you, mine isn't up in the neck with the line, it's directed to my chest to my heart,so it's deep in my chest veins where I can't feel it on my skin. Getting excited to see Port #1 along side Port #2 on the tree for Christmas.😍🎄
Miss seeing you guys more regularly, but totally understand that your lives have changed so much...for the better. All the best to your beautiful family. 😊💕
the port could not be working since it has had blood clotting inside of it since you had it taken out, but still glad you got a new one :-)
I missed y'all!! Good demo on the old port. It didn't flush so now I'm sure you're glad you replaced it. That line cut is questionable?! Glad you feel better.❤
I'm so happy for yall and where yall are in life now! I remember watching years ago, and your life was so questionable, and now, now you have 2 beautiful kids! ❤ Absolutly amazing 😊 God's blessings
Kiwi co is awesome! We've been getting them for years. Started with the kiwi crate and Atlas crates, now we get the Tinker crates. And we've had the Maker crates too.
Thanks for the update! God bless you
My medical nerd autistic brain would be content for hours experimenting, cleaning and learning the literal ins and outs of how your old port works Mary. This gave my brain some much needed happy hormones so thank you Mary, at least that’s someone I can geek out on medical things with and not have the other person get queasy the second I mention the word veins 🙄😂.
I didn’t know that you could keep your port. When ever they take mine out I will ask for it. Mine was put in in January while I am going through chemo
Elijah has changed so much! I love the way he said Mama. His hair is coming in now, it's nice to see him, its been along time. That port looks as if it would be hard to deal with, I'm sorry to say. Surgery is a big deal. ❤ Maybe we will be able to see the other boy someday, God willing. Take care. 🙏
Mini van? Are you expecting more children soon? I wouldn't even think of going over that cliff until 3 children! Possibly more!
Little is really talkative.
The best part of this was both Mary and Peter quickly turning at the loud noise. I was dying laughing. Parent life lolz
Look at him putting them on the string right off. That is so awesome. Such a sweet smart boy.

Y'all are such a cute family.
Elijah is so cute. Are you planning on adopting your foster son? I really hope you can adopt him as you have had him for a rather long time now, so you are all he knows.

Yes, that would be lovely for the baby. Although, it's still infinitely better for a baby to know loving parents and have to lose them and learn new ones than not to have had them at all. Even if he has to move on someday he will go with the knowledge of what love is deep inside his bones.
Playing/experimenting with the port would totally be something I would do!!
I miss all of you!!!😢❤❤❤❤
6 years? No way. I remember your surgery like it was last month! And, how you were like, "it's in my armpit. How is that going to work."
Omg!! I hunk I have that same exact port, and it has been infiltrating on me and leaking under the skin. I keep telling them, but they claim it’s fine. I definitely am about ready to get a new one.
love this video ❤❤❤
I'm on my 3rd Port replacement. The last one was the worse. Take care.
Port Tea compliments of Mary 😆
I’ve missed your videos!!! 🫶✨

They bring positivity to the series .. They will be missed if they stop all together..😮😮
"Just to make you guys feel better" 😂😂😂
I guess I've been watching for a while - I saw the thumbnail and thought "oh nice, a new ornament for their tree..." 😁😁
I got a new central line last week and I thought of you and meant to ask if I could keep the old one (it wasn’t infected or anything), but I was too dopey and forgot😂
Miss you guys
I so miss seeing you on KZread allot more like you used to be. Miss you all so much.😢 Hope you all are doing well
It seems like it bothers you where they put the line above your collar bone. Please share when you find out why that choice.
17:10 don't annoy Mary😂 That was educational, and I can quite understand how you would want to test it .

Can I ask a genuine question, Mary? I’ve been told recently that I might have to stop IVIG because it has an increased risk of stroke. I had one 8 years ago and unfortunately another in August. I’ve been on IVIG for nearly 4 years and it’s really helped but my docs don’t want me on it because of its stroke risk. Anyways, I was just wondering what you use your port for these days?! I’m hesitant to get mine out just because I’m stopping IVIG. Thanks ❤️
💛💛💛
I miss you guys so much. 😢 from Grandma Debbie xoxo 0:01
I couldn’t even sleeping on right side at all. It was so sore for a couple of days for me
❤❤❤❤
Will we get to see the new baby soon.
Who else is listening intently to Mary talk about her port …. Then hearing babies in the background realising they are her babies …. How life has changed love it! And Mary hot baths keep me going with my fibromyalgia!
4:07 did little guy say "dada"?
Hey Mary and Peter I've looked into a possible lawsuit for power ports since Mary had issues with your 2nd port since Day 1
💙
My last port cracked while in my body so it could’ve happened before removal.
Hi fray family have you started to to 4 weekly updates now missed my daily or weekly vlogs 😢 x
I was very sore after having my port put in
I've never seen this families channel before, so when I saw the thumbnail, I thought she was holding a guitar pick, and was going to say that she swallowed it a long time ago and it's been in her chest ever since😂 so that's why I clicked on the video, all I can say is I'm pretty dumb😶

The port would be plugged because the blood clotted
Is anyone else struggling without the Frey Life vlogs? I know how much their life has changed, but having watched since Scotland I care a lot about how the family is doing. As an adoptive Mom, I am always eager for updates on the boys. And as an animal lover, I need my glimpse of the animal family members.
That port looks totally different from Ur old 1
Wait. They had a baby??
He is his own worst critic on his painting
I would so do the same 😂
When can show the baby
Is the baby available for you to adopt?

How is Ollie doing?

Next time…get a slim port. They are almost flat and unnoticeable. Go to a cardio thoracic surgeon too. They do a much neater job.
@evercuriousmichelle

Good to know that there are slimmer options! I'm learning through this that it's important to ask for after photos of all possible options to see the surgeon's handiwork!
*remnants* 😂😂😂😂
you be you anf forget if any onr judges your port
You boiled the water then took it off the heat and dunked the port in. That’s not sterilizing anything. You would need to put the port in the boiling water, actively boiling water and let the port boil in it for 5 or more minutes to actually sterilize it. I know you can’t do that because it would probably melt but that’s what you have to do in order to sterilize something. Just so you know.😊
@junbh2
9 ай бұрын
Cleaning it with sterilised water is still useful though, even though it doesn't fully sterilise it.
Mary, I think you know you need food and meds. Maybe the medical team said that was okay. I know after surgery or sickness, I'd rather just sleep the day away. Do you ever notice when you're so so tired and you just lay down and adrenaline hits for some reason and you're wide awake. I hear Elijah in the background. Why would anyone expect it to be just another port, what so wrong? That's silly. New port, new pain. 😃😃👋👋💖💖
Why don’t you put the needle end of it into the and of your tubing and flush it that way?
Why are you not doing content, miss you guys

I miss your videos😢
Lo:÷ & prayers
Good afternoon freys I know this episode is taken a few days after that operation of the port replacemrnt and continued recovery time .. I didnt expect it to be that large in your body i thought maybe a small one that you were showing in the last episode of two weeks ago.. Elijah was showing his artwork he did a pretty good job on the drawing followed by painting it.. Oliver resting on the sofa .. Thats odd you let your large animals sleep on the expensive furniture .. Thats fine if he was small cat like harry or something small dog they can sleep on the furniture. Certainly i would Not allow a larger breed of dog to sleep on that.. Todays episode is released on SEPTEMBER 19th which is one month after marys 34th birthday and 4 days umtil AUTUMN BEGINS on saturday and about 3 months til christmastime already.. Till next time GOD BLESS YOU!! PEACE!!!❤❤💋👍
Am I the only one who wants to see the gross stuff in the port?
