17:53 not a razorblade thing, it is a military issued ration can opener US P-38. I still have one from 55 years ago in the US Navy.

That amber carnival glass deviled egg plate sells for $95! All of those were carnival glass! What a find! Some Indiana Hobnail goes for more and some less. Depending on the market. Every piece you found had the iridescent glow! 😊

The necklace in the drawer of the jewelry box looks like hematite. Nice chunk of gold! Good stuff.

Now that you are dealing with so much jewelry you might want to get a metal and gem tester. You will be surprised how many things are gold or silver plated, and that the stones used in jewelry are more valuable than you think a lot of times . Also look up ANY piece that has a signature . There are bronze and brass and even plastic jewelry that is valuable because of signature or age of piece. Also keep your eyes open for vintage micro mosaic pieces. I hope I don’t sound like I’m being a know it all because everything I’ve mentioned I’ve literally learned in the last year and what a game changer. I had not been paying attention to anything that wasn’t gold or silver, or had a precious stone in it and I passed up so many things. I like you guys and I love how much you care about and mention your church so I just wanted to share the information in hopes to bless others the way I was blessed . congratulations on your finds. Thanks for sharing.

I carry that exact magnet with me for a decade, I knew it had had a match somewhere...Magnets are really handy & I thought it was cool it matched the one I actually carry.

When you first opened the door and showed the various brands that stood out, I thought it was one of those staged units you hear the storage companies set up. But within minutes, you started finishing goodies!! Yay!! This is fun!

You can actually throw those fabric & leather Coach purses in the washing machine and air dry. I’ve done it many times, I just use a gentle or delicate cycle with no or very low spin cycle. The expression on your face with the urine whiff……priceless!

That egg dish is epic. My girlfriend is selling everything in her thrift store and it’s thousands of square feet into the rafters is probably 25 feet and she has a green one that has a handle in the middle that comes up. It’s so cool.

As a T1 diabetic I can relate to candy everywhere. The stay strong poster in the box tugged a few heart strings but this unit was definitely meant for you. The crucifix and the K necklace absolutely signs

That magnet at 19 minutes is what they call a sizzler. They come in sets of 2, you toss them in the air near each other and they make a weird sound as they come together, almost like bacon sizzling. my daughters had several sets in different shapes.

I know you weren’t prepared but I take a magnet with and I try jewelry. I know there’s other ways of testing jewelry that are probably better but that’s what I start with and then when it doesn’t stick, I put it in a pile and now I have to go to my jeweler and see if she’ll test it for me. My sister-in-law left and went back to her hometown five hours away and left a 4 foot or more full of jewelry. A lot of it was junk but a lot of it was good stuff that was just broken.

My sister was a hoarder and hid her money every where. When I was cleaning her house after she passed, I found a $100 bill stuffed into the toilet tissue holder. So you never know what you will find.

I'm no expert, but I think the first carnival glass you showed would be more like 25 each rather than 5 each

Bobby again. What state are you located in?

Save your back from all that bending and stooping. Take a small folding table with you when you do these then you can go through the stuff without constantly having to be hunched over. Also take a clean empty tote or two so as you go through stuff you can toss the goodies in them.
