I have been saying Modeh Ani for some time, but in the last couple years or so, I’ve added “where will You have me go today and what will You have me do, who will You have me speak to and what will You have me say, not my will be done Lord, but Your will be done this day, how may I serve You today my King, how may I serve You this day?” …I’ve wondered a lot why He created me. Thank you for sharing this talk, I really needed to hear this today: “We’re not discovering it, we’re uncovering it”❤❤❤

You were important, are important, and will forever be... no matter what based on that alone From the very beginning you were CHOOSEN out of MILLIONS... FIRST!. I am working on the Omer workbook. I was born into a world of extremes, a world of constant contrast between horrible suffering but seeing outside me that there was another way to live only I could not escape the sexual abuse, death, and destruction that held me in its grip. My emotions developed into extreme expressions. When I see good I tear, and it feels as though nothing bad ever happened. And for some reason G-d shows me hillariously funny things no other sees, and I laugh, and that is inappropriate to those who see me. Then the next blow happens, and it's as if I have never seen good, and I feel devestation. The list of sexual abuse as well as all the other forms of abuse on my person is enormous. I am expecting divine intervention during this Pesach. There is a holy soul inside me, and this beast on me has to be peeled away. I must find balance. I know there is no real pleasure outside of serving G-d. I must find my place in His world. Thank you for the workbook.

At the words “Birth is God saying you matter.” Answered my question to “ Why should I be judged if I did not ask to be born?” This question was magnified within me and I was in doubt as to what it means to have faith. This was yesterday and I asked the Lord to please respond cause do not want to loose my salvation to the demons of this realm…and here I am as a testimony to his misery. Thank you for posting this today . Bless you and yours.

I am 73 and for my whole life I was fortunate to believe in my self and to connect with my soul and with Hashem. I knew I was here for a reason and a purpose-- and that concept guided me throughout my life. I kept looking-- but I didn’t find an answer to what exactly my purpose was. But I believed I was here for a reason. Unfortunately in recent months I seem to have lost that connection and that gift and that sense of purpose The world itself is imploding. The Biblical stories of Purim and Passover are happening today. I know that my life has mattered but I’m not sure why and to what end. Strange thoughts to be thinking at this point of in my life, but I have never felt so empty and disconnected-- I’m not unhappy-- I just seem to have lost the joy that has been my companion throughout life’s ups and downs. I recognize that this is a very strange thing to post but I’m not going to question it. My birth mattered-- but in the greater scheme of life- did it really?

You’re stuck in the ego making it all about achievement/material based value. Sure humans as well as our own wiring values that in order to know where we stand in our local hierarchy’s… but the spirit is something that lasts forever. And even with breath in your body, you can choose to be in the service of others. Being human is a transient form/vehicle for our spirit.. but our spiritual energy transcends all physical states.

Didn’t God tell us never to question why He does what he does? Didn’t He want us not to give Him a name, because we would start to think of Him as human, rational, and don’t people ask, “Why Me, God?” Yes, man plans and God laughs. Why are WE here? Not, “What’s the meaning of my life,” but “What’s the meaning of life?” I love what you say when you say, “Create space.” It’s easy to be grateful at a banquet, but how grateful are we when there is crisis, chaos, loss? We are human, and we can’t be agents for change if we only love The Creator when everything’s going our way.

Rabbi, I deeply enjoyed your inspirational message. I wouldn’t change one word of it. It’s “YOU”. All I can add is some humor> As a 7-12? year old, I got Batman slippers from my parents and soon discovered to my great delight that my “astounding” leaping abilities far exceeded my expectations or they suddenly felt far more “legitimized”. Realizing our “birth worthiness” is like getting a pair of rocket powered slippers that can’t be removed. Let’s hope that all the wondrously created unique beings soon learn to live, chat, play and work appreciatively together…

I said to God, I left my home in Massachusetts. I left my home in Tampa, where is my home. He answered, Jerusalem. I have not been to Jerusalem. My family has. I am an outcast. God validates me. Rabbi Jacobson and each person by God validates each other by the words, how are you. How are you feeling.....

I feel that our soul hasn't left us but it is possible we are less connected and influenced by it since we are consumed by the external world. Just a thought, I will definitely do this in the morning :) thank you!

I know that this message is very needed, and that the greatest gift to the world a person can gift is his own healing (his wholeness). Because only then a person is able to achieve his highest potential, as he gave himself permission to soul search for his highest meaning... However I have seen many misery and was raised in a Spartan way. What is the message to someone who is terminally ill? Or someone who lost a child? Or children who are mutilated by war? How do they process this message? How can I let the world know that I matter, without being arrogant? Or is it arrogant to think in this way?

There are women that keep guy friends knowing that they like them. These guys will jump out of their skin for them. These women use these guys for material needs and to boost their ego. Another downside is that the guy will destroy their reputation. The cruel reality is to be extremely careful of friendships with the opposite sex. Many years ago I accepted the fact that God wanted me to be alone and enjoy his company. Shortly after that I found someone who shares my faith.

global war of goodness??? i hope you change your view or/and use of words.. goodness -the beneficial or nourishing element of food. do you feed your enemies? ask yourself is war ever good when its fought for power money and control of the few? ever been in a flesh and blood war? You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven.
