This V12 Powered Toyota Century Is The Ultimate Luxury Sedan Of Japan
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
In this episode, I share with you my thoughts on this 1999 Toyota Century.
Completely hand-built from the ground up, the Century is an ultra-luxury, super sedan designed for the Japanese Domestic Market. However, with a strict sales policy it was exclusively sold to only the elite of Japan. Powered by the iconic 1GZFE 5.0L V12, it is Japan's largest displacement engine and the only Japanese V12 ever produced. The Century is a vehicle that showcases the utmost of 90's Japanese engineering and craftsmanship.

Two important/super cool things about the V12 engine. It’s basically two 1JZ’s bolted together. As such it has a cool limp mode feature that allows the engine to run each bank of six independent of each other if something fails in one.
Informative review conveying the essence of what the Century is about understated luxury for the discerning owner.
The interior wood grain panels were produced by YAMAHA. All of them are real wood. The curved shapes of the center console and rear armrest are wonderful. From Japan
Love the video, I often watch it while I'm waiting for my to become legal in the states. Just gets me more excited to get to drive it

Hi Dodge Thank you for letting Clay show your car! It was presented beautifully and it deserves it :)
One of the most classy and pleasant videos you make! Thank you
Keep these videos on cars like this coming Clay 👌👌
What a car! I love it! 🤤🤤
Very similar to my 2009 crown Majesta but a touch less refined in some areas. Toyota Engineers are true geniuses and I will never go back to a falcon again
Amazing
So glad importers have kept these, and so many others out of the hands of the exact generation that made them popular.
would be good to see a jzx110 either mark II or verossa soon!
no shouting in this one, nice and relaxed, beautiful to see.
Hey Clay, question regarding that number plate. I noticed that it's all numeric. Is it a heritage plate enamel plate but transferred onto the Japanese style plate?
Scotty Kilmer brought me here lol 😂 Had no idea Toyota had a badass monster machine like this very cool 😎🆒
Thankyou
🔥🔥
It screams yakuza

Let's guess how much these be worth in another 2 years ? I'm guessing a minimum at double wat the are now 35k for the 97-99 models.
Highly doubt there's only approximately 1,050 century V12's that exist claiming only 50 of them were produced a year. Maybe you were referring to the first model's ever built?

They made 9k I think 1400 in 97 alone.
do a watch collection video if you have one ! Nice hulk
I’d feel sorry for the driver with my feet perched up next to them.
This is the first time ur not raising your voice in a long time hahahaha
Swap the exhaust like f1 car
This is not a 1999 model. Up to 2004, the Century featured a column shift gear selector (4-speed). 2005-on, it went to a centre console shift and 6-speed.

They offered a center console shifter in the earlier models too with the 4 speed automatic. You could get either or at the time when the v12 came out in 97

This is probably a 1999 car. It is definitely from before 2001 because of the aspect ratio of the front screen. These were overhauled around 2002. It's also a four speed transmission, the six speed variants had only sequential shifts and moved away from 3/2/L. It's also before 2005, because the brake lights are not LEDs.
Is it true that only 50 were made in a year ?
Hectic
