The channel is GB News, quite a new channel launched in June 2021. The rest of the UK mainstream media trash then at every opportunity and they constantly organise targeted complaints to the broadcast regulator. Some campaigns have lead to sackings.

I don't. My mother used to work at a horse packing plant back in the day. Outside of random and rare instances of abuse which often costs the employee inflicting the abuse their jobs or staged animal rights activist abuse for views, industrial animal farms are sanitary, the animals are in a relatively low stress environment, the method of execution is faster than the animal can process it, and it provides a useful means of providing high quality nutrition in a smaller footprint. Obviously the ideal is to have everything regeneratively raised and eating its natural diet, but this is the real world and compromises are going to be made somewhere.

I'm disappointed that this message is being promoted on a failing and fringe 'uk news' channel which also promotes a lot of nonsense so the message here will likely be lost in the weeds for most UK citizens. It would be better if this person was sending this message in more mainstream ways - does anybody know who he is? I completely agree with his message btw - people can be free to choose vegan/veggie/etc but the push to MAKE people choose is obscene.

His prediction is hardly a prediction when we can see poor diet choices all day, every day, anywhere you go in America. Needless to say, we'll need double blind studies to determine whether it's veganism or junk/ processed foodism that is causing the issues. One can just as easily be malnourished eating nothing but chicken nuggets as they can eating nothing but lawn clippings. We evolved as omnivores. We ate whatever we could get our hands on for a gazillion years of evolution. Some meat. Some veggies. Some berries. No bread. No sugar. No chicken nuggets. No Sweet Baby Ray's on a charbroiled steak. Get back to basics, it's not hard to figure out. It's just hard to make it taste good.
