Yeah. Considering she literally had to fight for her life many times, gambling it constantly and even come up with strategies to defeat stronger monsters...she didn't get a cheat system.

The titles never fail to send me

So i read up on the Hero skill the designated heroes get in this series. Plot Armor in the form of a skill. And its the reason why this world is falling apart. The skill only activates when the Hero and Demon Lord fight each other and what it does is that it absorbs the surrounding mana in the environment and then adds that to the current strength of the Hero. The bigger the power gap the more mana is absorbed. This means that the Hero will always win against a demon lord even if the hero is only level ONE. And this has happened so many times that the world is basically trying not to fall apart. So in this particular story the Demon Lord, who has finally found out about whats causing the world to fall apart, is actually the good guy. Theres no way to stop a Hero from being born, they just have to keep killing them. Problem is, not only does the Hero skill actively absorb mana it passively gives the Hero the mentality of "I must kill the demon lord" so even if you calmly explain whats happening, the hero wont listen bc hes essentially being brainwashed by the skill itself. But again. The skill only activates when the demon lord is there. So all Arail has to do is send her minions after him and the skill wont activate.

Not technically a cheat leveling system, given it seems all other creatures have it as well. She just made smart choices.

This is just common practice in Japan. basically a pump and dump scheme. a light novel or manga gets a little hype, they make an anime and the marketing team goes completely insane all over japan, then the anime airs, they collect their earnings and move on. it's not about the story getting an anime, it's about making a profit off the hype train. Every week I lived in Japan it was something else plastered everywhere. @@nine_tails137

Dudes, the battle between Kumo and Araba was one of the best in isekai. Full of ups and downs and twists and turns. Usually, the battles in isekai manga are pretty one-sided. That makes things pretty boring. This battle was pretty detailed. I love it. 👍

The tile is ruthless💀🙏

The light novel and web novel for this show is top tier. Hell I'd say this has one of the best web novels out there. And the web novels completed but the light novels taking a different route for the ending.

I did read ahead into the light novel quite a bit. I actually noticed quite the difference between all three mediums actually. The manga and light novel kept very similar to each other, but the anime has gone in a very different direction with the time jumping and different character perspectives. It made things much more confusing. I prefer the manga and light novel where it is just from the main characters perspective.@@ZetroFox9274

The manga and anime stopped where the story between them and the light novel has started to separate from each other into different directions. Honestly, if my novels ever get picked up by a mangaka or a studio, I wouldn't want them to change the storyline. A lot of novels are written to have their plots the way they are for a reason. Taking creative freedom on plot over the writer creates holes in the story and like how this one happened, the project ends up getting dropped.@@SquobLob

Since Season 2 is highly unlikely (the studio is broke and the horrible last few episode killed the hype) here is the ending: !!!!SPOILERS!!!! !!!!SPOILERS!!!! !!!!SPOILERS!!!! !!!!SPOILERS!!!! . . . . . . . . . . The whole explosion/reincarnation thing happens because "D-sama", a god of the isekai world is hiding there disguised as Kumo/Wakaba, because she is lazy and doesn't want to do her job and enjoys life on Earth. The current demon lord and the hero shoots an attack to where she is to kill her (blaming her for their dying world) and the attack travels trough the worlds. "D-sama" to hide herself and the fact that 1 less student got actually reincarnated takes a spider who also died in the incident while hanging on the class wall, gives her Kumo's memory and a part of her soul and reincarnates her as the spider we meet in the anime... so our spider was actually a spider. Later the story becomes a sci-fi/fantasy mumbo-yumbo with dimensional travels, robots, UFOs, dragon gods and all kind of bullcrap, the author lost his mind. Kumo becomes a god and the second half of the story is about 3 faction trying to save their world. One wants to sacrifice half of the population, one wants to save everyone, one i don't even remember, i just gave up. Trust me, we didn't loose much, all the cuteness and interesting plot is lost where S1 ends.

Ah. A pity, but the part that was most interesting to me was a protagonist who was happy being a "monster" and the show lost that when she decided to sprout a cute woman's body at the end of S1. So I probably wasn't going to watch further anyway. Still really liked the stuff before that, though.

Ugly and Disgusting? Higly debatable. But worthless? Big big spoiler alert for Manga and Novel (can't remember if they revealed it in the anime. Oh and I didn't wached the video completely yet. So if he mentioned it in the video, well than nevermind xD) She was literally a vassle for god (Administrator D) to experience how the life of a normal mortal being feels like. Despite the fact that she was bullied and did nothing all day long, being a vassle of a godly being is more than enough to not be worthless lol. (The next point can be wrong because i haven't read the novel in a long time. So please read the novel for yourself or check the wiki if you want to factcheck) If I remember correctly, she was created by Administrator D. She had her own consciousness but i can't remember if D gave it to her or if she evolved it just by existing. When D was not in possession of her body, she had no memories of being possessed by D. And as fun fact she is reborn as a spider because D mixed her soul with a random spider in the classroom, which can be seen in Episode one. And aaaaalso part of her soul is D's soul. So she was everything but worthless :D

@dom1nation465 ok. So again, big spoiler warning. I looked it up in the wiki so I don't spread misinformation. Its kinda complicated and confusing, but i try my best to simplify it. Shiraori/Kumoko (the spider protagonist) is and is not the reincarnation of Wakaba Hiiro (the girl that got bullied). Wakaba Hiiro was created by Administrator D. Or, to be more precise, Wakaba Hiiro was the alternative identity of Administrator D. Kumoko was originally just the Spider in the classroom, but Administrator D mixed the spiders soul with the Soulfragment of herself/Wakaba Hiiro, which contained the memories of Wakaba Hiiro but not Administrator D's. Or rather has overwritten the spiders memories with her memories as Wakaba Hiiro. So ultimately, our protagonist is literally just a random spider mixed with a godly soulfragment. And Wakaba Hiiro is Administrator D.

Honestly this manga's chapter always released inconsistently so it was hard to keep up. Luckily this dude explains the entire series recap, finally I can finish this.

I think its because that type of spider class Kumo chose is not supposed to get so strong. I think its like finding a max level support class that has assasin traits. When it comes to 2nd seasons in the current anime industry, I keep my expectations extremely low. Since most anime adaptations are just giant commercials for the manga/light novel. Which barely adapt the source material, and have rushed pacing as a result.(I really want this anime to prove me wrong!)
