Mizutsune has 4 other divergent evolutions, and one of which that is not in this game (That one uses electricity, that would have been fun to fight) which really makes 5.

Damn does Violet Mizutsune have a knack for making massive comebacks after getting initially thrashed! With how powerful it can be even without being Afflicted, it makes me wonder how Special Investigation versions of Monsters would fare against each other and if there'd be any differences in performance from their base Afflicted/Risen forms. For example, would a Special Investigation Seething Bazelgeuse do different against a Special Investigation Risen Shagaru Magala?

I actually didn't find out till yesterday that mizutsune is a leviathan

that was epic, It was close but Mizu's superior agility and versatility edges out though this fight could go either way if played repeatedly but that's just a theory of mine, overall great video!

Mitzu killing with the spirit bomb was awesome

Lucent nargacuga vs scorned magnamalo would also be cool to see. Panther vs tiger, ninja vs samurai.

It’s a pity that the most powerful attacks of the diablers have a long delay, making them easy to shoot down. The outcome of this battle could have been different, but not this time. Apex Diablos is still one of my favorite MHR monsters, nothing beats physical strength.

Always love seeing a monster finish a fight with it's signature attack. Also this video reminded me, when are we gonna see those Apex vs Rare species videos (Rathalos, Mizu, and Rathian) you put behind the huge paywall? You said you'd release them eventually a while ago

Ooo, I like this stage. Also awesome fight and finish. Diablos bullied Mizu physically but Mizu had firepower to make up for it and toughness to hold on.

@TheLordGojira Yeah this is one of those kind of 'random' match ups that really surprised me when I went on to record it. Mizu's ultimate is such a spectacle.

This is one of the best so far if it was primordial Malzeno vs Violet Mizutsune at this idk who to place bets on they're both my most favorite monsters

I don’t know why but I keep seeing this as bloodbath vs soulseer also this fight was awesome I see why it blew your mind also I’ve been wondering if you do monster fight requests

I remember seeing the Diablos vs Mizutsune on your alt acc. Excited to see this one :) Edit: Spoiler GG to Mizutsune for the comeback, Diablo's AI is super duper aggressive so it always charges at Mizutsune's bubble bombs enabling Mizu to deal a lot of damage.

Wow that was very intense. Super happy that the Mizutsune finally got their revenge on Diablos back in the tournament, and that freaking shotgun blast toward the end might have saved Mizu’s skin. I wonder if we’ll ever see another tournament again with the Elder Dragons at their best possible versions. Also, I’ve recently started a survey similar to the one I made 3 years ago with World/Iceborne monsters. Since Rise/Sunbreak has already wrapped up, I’m thinking of having this survey featuring every large monster that appeared in the 5th Generation. For me Apex Diablos is the hardest fight in the game, that double head slam and triple charge really get ya sometimes! Good to see him lose but barely xD blight damage was the deciding factor for mizu here! Love to see more fights with Apex Diablos some day!

This just goes to show how important D.O.T (Damage Over Time) truly is in these matches amd constantly applying it as quickly as possible. Had Violet Mizitsune not have burning affliction or inflict it at a slower pace, it would've most likely lost the fight. It honestly threw everything it had at Apex Diablos and the kitchen sink to barely get the win. Also, I'm surprised Apex Diablos didn't flinch anywhere near as much as i thought it would've by Violet's lighter attacks. Could've sworn he flinches more, but i guess I was proven wrong. Are Apex monsters in genral really THAT much harder to flinch? I don't remember them being this sturdy, but maybe that's why you chose it in the first place. Still, great matchup. Here's to hoping you do a rematch with Narwa and Giasgorm in the Abyss, I still think he couldve gotten the win if the second half of his ultimate attack had gone off! 🎉

To be fair, dragon blight doesn't really effect monsters in this game, so if savage deviljho was here, mizu would be in a lot of pain.

ネタバレ防止 最後の地中からの強襲をブレスで迎え撃ったのエグすぎる・・・ そこからの大技で〆るのも芸術点が高すぎた 体力差半端じゃないし序盤めっちゃ押されただけに凄まじい逆転劇。名勝負でした。

I thought Mizu was gonna lose because it got stun locked in the beginning, this fight just goes to show… When in doubt, BUBBLES! 😂 Excellent fight as always 😄

he just had some of the toughest opponents, apex diablos is definitely no slouch in these fights
