Inzaghi was top.. it was a very tight game. He stopped City brilliantly and as underdogs got it spot on. Lukaku HAD to score that header. Horrible finish at that level. As a neutral I wish it had gone to 1-1. What followed would have become a classic i reckon. They got the job done though. Pep deserves a break, now.

Im a Barca fan. It was obvious from Peps first managerial season with us that he was (already) the best coach in the World & on his way to greatness. I had many arguments with PL snobs who ignorantly gave Pep no credit for the truly amazing job he did at Barca(& later on Bayern). Theyd claimed he "couldnt do it in the PL where every club has money and its so competitive". So, even tho Im not a City fan, Ive taken immense joy in seeing Pep dominate the "super competitive" PL(that had a gr8 Livepool side in it) and change the culture of English football in the process. Of course the haters then changed their argument to "well he hasnt won the CL so he is a failure" and now, as expected, he has done that too. Thats 3 CLs he has now btw. Only Ancelotti has more. I know the haters aint gonna admit he is arguably the greatest coach of all time but I dont mind. Its hilarious seeing them do anything but admit it. Haters gonna hate. Well done to Pep. GOAT.

Best one i hv seen is Barca 2010/11. Before that was AC Milan in the 1987 to 1992. Then Liverpool 1981 to 1985. Utd was good but never really reigned in Europe. Mau utd was one-off performances not like RM, Barca, Milan and Liverpool. Ajax and Bayern also reigned. Man utd only 3 cups in Europe

The best manager takes on legitimate challenges and brings out the best...Mourinho would be a class example, also SAF with winning a European trophy with Aberdeen, only 3 Scottish sides have ever done that, and they beat Real Madrid to do that... then took United who were 2nd from the bottom to 11th his first season, and the rest is history....Pep Guardiola is the greatest coach in the last decade, and a transformational coach, he's modernized football, having taken the philosophy Cruyff adapted it to the modern game and transformed how soccer is played currently, however I cannot call him the greatest manager ever, he needs to take on a legitimate challenge, maybe he does it towards the end of his career....Congratulations to City !!!

Give credit to inter. As a juve fan I must admit they were a more than worthy adversary on the night, lucky to even make it to the final with to begin with but would have easily won with a different approach and manager. I believe the inter squad is better on paper than man city's

One is the most competitive domestic league competition in the world.. the other is a multinational cup competition that is the most glamorous trophy to win other than the world cup. Comparing which is 'harder' to win is a debate for morons.

Because of fewer games, there is a lot more luck involved in winning CL. So harder for a team like City, easier for a club like f.ex Newcastle next year.

City has basically steamrolled that competition for the last decade while la liga has had three different winners in the last 3 seasons, and has way less European success than La liga across both CL and EL. EPL fanboys are living in their own parallel universe.
