For anyone wondering about 6:24 and 34:14, you can see that he's hitting a different block, as in, it's in a physically different place, and you just don't notice. I'm guessing some setup with a bomb on a track, and a launcher that shoots fireballs sat on a conveyor belt. (So that the bomb explodes at a different time if the P-switch is on)

This is one best troll levels I’ve seen in Mario Maker 2. Right up there with twoll-light princess and symptoms of stupidity

I had Marble and a few creators come into my stream and presented this level for playtesting... this level was amazing amounts of fun and the creators are amazingly good people. Woah having the checkpoints being interchangeable while changing how the rest of the trolls function based on which you restart from, then ontop of that it's a thrice thrice thrice, that's bloody impressive!

Missed this stream and level, but I sat here the whole time between the second key death and before you went back in, knowing that it was going to be thrice-thrice. Alas, I think that might have been the only thing I would have seen coming if I played this level myself. Thanks for the great content as always Carl & All.

I can't even begin to comprehend how something like a thrice thrice is done... As an outsider, it's been my understanding that the twice twice's tend to be caused by on/off switches and their state causing different elements to spawn. So how can you have a 3rd scenario?

Well, the P-switch is causing the third, but I have no idea what activates the p-switch in the first place after the second key death.

Yea that's my question too! The usual setup is since the on/off always starts in the red state after a cp, you can start at either cp, one of which will flip the switch before sending you to the other. The third section was activated with a pswitch tho like howwwww

I'm guessing it has to do with entering with the initial switch state but not spawning directly on top of the red coin. Some sort of sprite limit shenanigans.

On top of my head, I can think of 3 different ways to change stuff, assuming you have enough sprite. The first is on/off, second is p-blockd, and last (which is the method they use to make it thrice thrice I think) is by collecting red coins right after you spawn in. The last one is very interesting and you should watch Ceave's Gaming video on that.

Also another way perhaps is by using permanent ground (I forgot what people call them) where you can put sprites on it and it will never de-spawn as long as you doesn't go though door, pipe, or ded. This will allow you to manipulate sprite limits in the game.

his was by far one of the best levels I ever saw on this game, the tripe comeback to the same room hit way different, hope to see more from the banned wagon, I feel like something this great only comes like, once in a lifetime, or after some months if you have a team of very talented and creative people, kudos to everyone on the team

Since i just got my switch and my SMM game this was the first time that i played the level before seeing your video and this level really was super amazing, i were like 1 hour trying to beat it and after the final i laughted soooooooooo hard it make it me cry XD, I was amazed for the creator ideas and for the trice trice trice mechanic, really genious and really was the best way to enjoy my friday night after a hard week :3

After all this time, Twice Twice remains one of the most important Mario Maker levels ever.

This level was set up so that there was a pink coin below CP1 that you collect from the start, then the second pass through you start at CP2 every time, and the switch is configured differently for that. The third pass through you go at CP1 again except the pink coin below it respawned. Everything else is one-ways and ELB.

Geez, this level was revolutionary.
