Mud boss is the easiest to drive and easiest to tune I slapped 1 together and first race got second on a pretty big race about 100 cars Wich is a lot for my local track

This brings me back and I love it. I live back in New York “ Hudson Valley” 1:30 north on NYC. Though from 1982-1984 I lived in Diamond Bar and the Placentia CA. My father would take me on Weds nights to The Ranch Pit Stop and I’d run Oval and alternate weekly with off road. I had a Cox Scorpion with an Associated Stock brushed motor. First night on Oval I pinned it, never let off the battery was dying in the last lap and I won. I was 12-13 years old at the time. 40 years ago and I can still smell the batteries burning like it was yesterday…. I’m about to buy a 1/8 nitro truggy to run here at a place called barnstormers in Chester. The bug never leaves me. 53 now and it’s never too late

So based on this, and all the other Slashes out there as drag cars, drag cars, and dirt SCTs: I'm gonna say the Slash is the RC10 of the present day. Building the Slash kit with my daughter, gonna have to order one for me too I'm afraid!

I got into dirt oval with mudboss coming from Off road racing and im completely hooked. Buggy Street Stock is my favorite oval class at the moment.

Drae does a hell of a job with his builds. Been having a blast racing against Cody, Josey, and the rest of the team in the Pro Series.

Mudboss isn’t hard to make right. I don’t get beat on the west coast and would love to do the same for you or show you how fast one can go that barely receives any treatment.

I’ve seen this kinda car before. My local hobby shop has one. He told me it’s a slash with about an added $500 to make it this.

I dont think you could've hit the apex on the line you were on. To much inside.

this post is old, but i still wanted to comment, lets start with club racing, were i race in almost 99 percent of classes you have to use a traxxas, you have to run traxxas tiers you have to run traxxas servo, shocks, you cant run any other 12 turn brushed motor you cant run any other esc, the tracks are saying if you dont run a traxxas then you dont race, and i think its wrong and bad on the hobby, one of the main reason you walk into a hobby shop and see traxxas every were is local tracks and most any other tracks do not exsept any other brand ,, look at the classes, 2wd slash, 2wd buggy bandit, mud boss 2wd slash, why is it i cant run a 2wd buggy of my choice, why cant i run a 2wd sct of my choice, even the mud boss class there are plenty of other platforms, motor makers tier makers, esc makers and so on, know its traxxas cramming there stuff down all these hobby shops, and then the hobby shops cramming it down ares, is it traxxas, is it are local hobby shops, is it are tracks, so what if i put a mud boss body on a ecx, redcat, arma, or any other, if the classs says 2wd brushed sct then thats the class, not traxxas slash, i can rant about it all day, but at the end of it 2wd is 2wd and so on

I just looked up both, really nice stuff, but probably more coin than people are willing to spend to drive in a circle. And you still need a donor slash for some of the stuff to work…

@tym899 some of the stuff but unless you want to run a spec class you need that. 57 design and custom works have purpose built stuff no donor needed but in my opinion oval is harder then off road due to the high speed and it is hard on equipment in the open classes. I switched from off road to oval because it is way more exciting to drive then off road
