My baby brother also when to a chiropractor when he was only a few months old because his neck wouldnt move to the left, it can be very helpful when needed but they do need to know what they are doing

As a kid, I went to a professional chiropractor every week or so. I remember being scared of him after a while, because he wouldn't listen to the fact that I'd cry out in pain sometimes. Last I heard, he got his license taken away because he accidentally killed someone during his practice, then his wife divorced him.

Took full x-rays to show me exactly where my issue was and even did full intensive tissue massage before any adjustment was done. My neck no longer has any chronic pain and I’m really grateful for it but all these other chiropractors online seem like snake oil salesmen.

Not only is it illegal for someone without a doctorate to call themselves "Dr.", it's also illegal for human-medicine chiropractors to do chiropractic on animals without the direct supervision of a veterinarian. What do you expect from someone that isn’t recognized in the field as being real doctor and hasn’t put in the years required for schooling and training? lol For anyone that doesn’t know, just look up the origins on how chiropractors started … some really kooky stuff. I’m not talking about MLM-tier essential oils type of kooky, but actual zany kooky. It’s honestly quite sad how so many people pay to go to them and be hoodwinked into paying money for a placebo effect without doing any research. Or worse, dying, paralyzed, or ending up with blood clots and bringing on a stroke (especially with popping necks). I encourage people to steer clear from chiropractors. Instead, seek out a physical therapist if pain is something anyone is dealing with as they have the proper training for actual long term results, but for the love of all that’s holy … stay away from the chiropractic snake oil salesmen.

If you go to the chiropractor, do every bit of research you can and try to go through your insurance if you have it. If you have a bad feeling, LEAVE immediately. The chiropractor I've been going to since 2018 asked me for a full medical history and did a full set of X-rays on me, which they went over with me immediately. They didn't adjust me until the 3rd time I visited and that was only after I did physical therapy with lots of stretching. They also told me point blank to avoid any practitioner that's on social media, especially if they use the y-strap. You are NEVER EVER supposed to adjust pets and babies! Chiropractic care is valid as part of a regimen. It's not a replacement for needed medical care. Due to it, my fibromyalgia is better managed, the curves in my spine are much better, and I no longer need a cane to get around.

7:12 fresh outta the womb with back pain, I can answer this. My mother was in a car accident when she was preggo with me, we were ok, but I was born with just one of my vertebrae out of line, never had scoliosis, but we think this accident was the origin. Doctors don’t wanna mess with it because it would be more dangerous to mess with than to just leave it alone. However sometimes doctors prescribe or recommend chiropractic treatment. Cracking joints helps folks feel better. Lawyers also recommend it because after accidents it helps in small claims. Personally chiropractic stuff like this sketches me out. But I also don’t like massages so I could be bias against it. Hollistics are meant to be used alongside medical research not in substitute.

@@Larsen_illustrations i get what you’re saying, sounds like a foolish decision on their part. i mean not all doctors are trustworthy, but that’s why i’d shop around. if for whatever reason i don’t trust a doctor i find a different one. there’s certain things in the medical industry i don’t trust and would never consent to. but in every industry there is a gonna be sketchy stuff here and there. no reason to write off all modern medicine over that. holistic practices were medicinal before modern medicine, some of it is useful in treating some symptoms but without modern medicine we’d never survive some ailments or infections out there. they can go hand in hand, i think it’s up to whatever an individual is most comfortable with. but nobody should write off all modern medicine (or all holistic treatments) just based on the stuff that sketches them out. even if one treatment is sketchy there’s alternates for almost anything in modern medicine. folks should really shop around til they find the right doctor. there’s legitimate doctors with education that even practice holistic treatments. so theyres really a variety out there. chiropractors tho, aren’t doctors. personally i go to the real doctor for everything, but if something natural can alleviate symptoms i’ll give it a shot, alongside treatment. one time i caught a skin infection, completely drug resistant. all the creams prescribed only irritated it more and spread it. only thing that worked was holistic remedies because that was the only thing left to try with the strain being so resistant. this likely only worked because of the type of infection it was, so only topical creams were available. it wasn’t bacterial so antibiotics wouldn’t have made an impact. but atleast it worked. so i can’t brush off natural remedies too easily after that. but idk how anyone could trust a doctor based on their personal beliefs alone, when it comes to a doctor i judge them based on how they treat me, and their skill. i want a doctor who knows what they’re doing. the doc could believe that santa claus makes a special delivery on the eve of his own birthday if he’s in bed by 8pm every year for all i care as long as he knows how to fix whatevers causing the check engine light in my body to flash. i’ve had bad doctors before too. docs that ignored serious symptoms causing complications later, and doctors that didn’t listen to me, doctors that pressured me into getting on a birth control, which i cannot take because it makes me very very Ill. tried 8 different kinds of the pill. i hate the idea of those implants they use. don’t want any of it, and i don’t need it either. it’s not like it’s the only form of protection out there. i just don’t like how it gets pushed on me when its only ever made me sick. Even when they know this they still try to sell me on it. doesn’t work because i remember how it made me throw up everyday among other awful reactions. some doctors need to actually listen to their patients. more folks would trust the medical industry if doctors paid attention to how their patients felt. when they don’t listen it makes the industry look bad, and it makes going to the doctor more stressful, and even scary for some.

I have a connective tissue disease too and wasn't diagnosed until I was 21, but was forced into going to a chiropractor after a severe car accident as a 5 year old (yes, you read that correctly, five years old). They told me it wouldn't hurt but would "Sound like popcorn", and I thought they were a doctor so I trusted them... They did a single adjustment on my back and I screamed out in pain so loudly that the chiropractor physically jumped away from me. They got extremely angry at me because I refused to let them touch me again while crying and shaking, and my parents punished me for "making a scene" even though they're the ones who forced me to do it in the first place. Ever since then, I have had a solid several inches of my back with no feeling on the outside of my skin, but a constant burning and electrical sensation underneath. There is nothing that can relieve it, and I'm terrified of even going into chiropractic offices after what happened. Our bodies are so much more sensitive than people realize, especially when you have something like EDS or Arthritis.

I go to the chiropractor sometimes. Can confirm that this woman is a victim of EXTREME malpractice. As soon as she started whimpering in pain they should have stopped. If the pain is that bad then you need to get actual medical treatment. It is dangerous to do this, especially if you’re tense. Pain causes tension, but if you go in and jerk around your bones it only makes it worse. There’s releasing pressure and then there’s wreaking havoc on someone’s body. Those are two very different things. (P.S. my chiropractor is one of the, sadly, few that understand that vaccines and other essential medical treatment is very much so necessary in treating a patient. It’s the only reason my family sees that chiropractic clinic in the first place.)

Most of the american people who are in these communities and had VAD/CAD cerebellar strokes had them because a chiropractor manipulated their necks and broke their neck arteries. so, yeah, chiropractors are extremely dangerous and could and HAVE left people with permanent damage and could even cause deaths... sometimes people get cerebellar strokes when they're in crashes or fall on their necks, but those are accidents... imagine paying a pseudo "doctor" to kill you. so take care of your necks.

Not necessarily saying he was only doing what he was being told. But his progression in his studies were influenced by the help of a dead guy. Chiropractic care is actually terrifying. There is no real science behind adjusting joints like that. In fact, specifically getting adjustments of your neck is horror. There is a pretty substantial risk of having a stroke or dissecting arteries in the neck. Like the risk isn’t specifically for people at risk of those things, but genuinely the risk is even there for those who are fully healthy and have no problems with strokes and dissecting arteries. Also chiropractors are more likely to push treatments and medications that aren’t backed by science and are more… snake oil type vibes 😵‍💫

The sound of that first neck adjustment is the most jarring, destructive, blood-curdling, bone-tingling, catastrophic, splitting crack I have ever heard in my life. It sounds like it was dubbed over with a bone breaking sound effect.

Real chiropractors will tell you when they can’t help/pain is too severe. They are certified, they’ll request scans, asked if you’ve seen an ortho and PAIR adjustments WITH deep tissue massages and tools. I always hate when the real chiropractors get such a bad rep and then you have “chiropractors” like this man 🙄🤦🏽‍♀️

Chiropractory is about on par with a massage when it's DONE CORRECTLY. Unfortunately, many people aren't properly qualified, and even if they are, there are still tons of risk. It's probably better and safer just getting a good massage.

Yeah I sometimes watch Mondragon chiropractic and she literally does more lymphatic type massaging, and releasing fascia than actually cracking anything, and she never violently tries to remove someone’s head off their neck.

Accupuncture too. My physical therapist is trained to and certified for accupuncture and electro-therapy (like a Tems machine!) and because of this what she does has actually, genuinely helped. (I have joint hypermobility, thus is prone to injury and have a chronic injury in my primary wrist. Jabbing needles in the right spots (not pressure points), can trigger the body to scramble and repair the injury. This is called dry needling)

Multiple types of doctorates exist, including MD, DO, PhD, etc. While most people associate the word "doctor" exclusively with medical doctors, it just denotes a person's education level in their given field, whatever field that may be. The issue is what the doctorate is in. For example, a person with a Ph.D. in art history is a doctor, but that doesn't mean you should go to them for your annual check-up. However, I think that there are a lot of chiropractors who intentionally exploit the association between the word "doctor" and medicine. I know people with doctorates in various non-medical fields, and they typically introduce themselves as Firstname Lastname, Ph.D., and then subsequently are referred to as Dr. Lastname. They never describe themselves as "doctors" because that word doesn't say anything about what they actually *do*, just their education level. The difference is that their fields make it obvious that they aren't medical doctors. Chiropractors present themselves as health care professionals while also calling themselves doctors. The fact that these chiropractors are referring to themselves as doctors without explaining what they mean by the word "doctor" is at best slimy and at worst outright.

Things I have learned after dealing with neck pain and migraines for 7 years: -If you go to a chiropractor, they should be taking x-rays or looking at recent ones the first time you go. If they don’t, you should leave. -You should NEVER be in pain while being adjusted -It’s best to do physical therapy/strength exercises along with the chiropractic care, or you’ll just keep having the same problem. If the muscles aren’t strong enough to hold your vertebrae where they need to be, they’re gonna keep getting out of place and causing problems. -if the chiropractor is on social media or uses a Y-strap, RUN!

12:08 I actually took a class in an experimental way to reverse paralysis in small to medium animals. In that class i learned about exactly what causes there might be of paralysis. With what chiropractors work with, and the fact that he's using an activator??? Which is meant to help disconnect bones that have suctioned to their cartilage??? Shows thats definitely not what he's doing. Paralysis has little to nothing to do with bones on most if not all occasions, and it is almost entirely focused on nerves and nerve damage. Now again im not a professional, but that guy has no idea what he's doing

  • @asteri8299

Yeah if i remember correctly i did a research paper on this and one of the primary treatments for paralysis in small to medium animals is electro therapy via tems and dry needling with tems. Essentially either forcing the body into repair or using tems and static electricity to get the nerves to signal? Of course this is a youtube comment on my phone so its not exact but i do remember that this methodology or something similar has current and active evidence to work. These therapies would not work on BONES but NERVES AND TENDONS.
