Would love to see 705A in the action

Lv 44 TS-5 here, and I can say the tank boils down to 3, sometimes 4 questions that decide your fate for the round. 1) How many speedsters are on the other team and are they rushing you? 2) Wide open map where you can be easily surrounded or is it more focused and straightforward? 3) How many can pen your "egg" on the front? And the 4th, least important but still true question: Is the combined IQ of your 6 teammates higher or lower than that of a box of rocks? If you check the first three boxes and have at least a LITTLE backup to prevent rushers, you're putting up 2K damage at bare minimum. Maps play a major factor too. Desert Sands is a free 3K+ if you park at C-side's buildings and face center whereas Oasis Palms, you'll be lucky to crack 1K (one side is too cluttered, the other is too open) In the wrong matchups (Centurion, IS tanks, E75, other "Unpennables" as I call them) you'll struggle, but in the right matchups (pretty much any TD 1 on 1, ESPECIALLY Silencers, which are so free, it's criminal, most tier 7s, honestly other TS-5s, etc) and you are a BULLY. Some matchups aren't even fair in the TS-5 to others. Love the tank.

I’ve had the turtle a while and the extra speed is a real boost. However, typically for WG, of the 11 games I’ve played in it since the buff, all of them have been tier 9 or mostly 10 games. I haven’t had one against matching or lower tiers

I am a recent ts5 appreciator. Traditionally i dont like tds so this reward tank was collecting dust. Until i realised this is a heavy assault tank. It is not a tank destroyer, it is a tank molester. On open maps it can really struggle. But if there is any situation where brawling can happen, it is par excellence. Its ability to absorb fire makes it invaluable at the front of chokepoints, enabling team mates to move, flank and fire

at 3:32 your O-I was shaking at the tunnel exit while he was watching your performance...

this tank is just to OP. Armor approved dpm approved mobility soso. Comparing to t8s if you can hide bottom plan and wingle well you are real tank destroyer. I dont know what people are saying here but this TD is one of the beat in its class specially for brawling

I love TS-5, you have to play aggressively with this tank and use your crazy DPM, but ofc not on every map.

Against tier 6 and 7 go immediately to frontline. Against higher tiers be smarter, less aggressive and bait shots into strong armour and hide weakspots. As far as comparing to turtle goes, I unfortantely don’t have it. I would like to play the new buffed turtle to compare but what I hear from most people is turtle is now more powerful than TS-5. I will probably buy a turtle when next on sale to see wether I agree for myself because I am very interested

If memory serves when you had the Community Contributor bundles and you got to pick a tank you picked the TS-5.

I have this tank and also the tech T28 which is similar. To be honest I think that the TS5 is better then T28 but also is very MM dependent. It gets penned a lot from tier 8 and up. You can't rely on armor the way you see it here. It's not a BAD tank, just has so many deficiencies that it doesn't perform that well any more in the game. There are stronger TD's that are more fun to play. My 2 cents.

cant agree more its collecting dust in my garage after the first mark I stopped playin it I think it has too many weaknesses to be dependable in high tiers ... only fix I can think of is accuracy so that I can snipe in tier X MM any more buff to armor or dpm or speed will make tier 7 cry more than they cry about bz176

Why the name TS? Because this is the sound that comes out of the mouths of the opponents who see you coming with this tank 🤣

I tried to bully an E75 and he said "Nein" then backhanded me to the garage. T30s are fair game though. I can see the horror painted on their tanks when they are double tracked and being face rammed into a wall

my first tier 8 that i got on 10 days about 6 months of starting game and i was amased \

I got mine down to 6.48s reload with a 3.7k dmp

Before you buy, my experience is the majority of your games are +1/2 MM and at tier 8… I farmed a platoon of TS5 when they attempted to push my Tiger 2 hull down, the lower hull is weak and using regular AP consistently penned the lower hull. Be smart like skill to make it work. My 2 cents

This tank is very scary. It can really hold a flank alone.... Skill, may I ask, do you have hellcat in your head?

I'd say that on paper T28 and TS-5 has the same gun, but in reality I feel T28 like laser accuracy and TS-5 a bit derpy, however T28 after nerfs ain't that fun anymore

Turns out the T28 has better accuracy while TS-5 has 0.5 sec faster reload.

BZ-176 can actually easily pen this tank in cupola and even the lower armour (i have been penned many times and raged)

Turtle is still Turtle, it can goes faster but that means only one single thing: it can farm more in lower-tiered matchups, nothing more than that. Someone might say the Turtle is now completely broken, yes it is vs tier 6s & 7s. But it's still nothing more than a meatball vs anyone who has high pen. In the current meta, many tier 8s have high pen, let alone tier 9s and 10s. The Turtle is now better without a doubt, but in the same time, not that much against higher tiers or even some equal tiers. It's still a tank that begs for a good matchup all the time.

Skill how do you get your mini map to not be mini?? I've tried but haven't been able to set it up big as that.

use + and - ingame, or you can use mods

in this situation this tank shines but.. when you get tracked there is little you can do with that tank (and any other without rotating cupola) it is an assault destroyer but when you got to fight with heavy tanks but even worse mediums of the same tier you dont really stand a chance. For my understanding destroyers must have great camo and be at the back just waiting lights to spot enemy..i cannot see any other use of that type of tank

Positioning matter more. Get up in the front and have allies nearby. If there is a possibility someone can out maneuver you maintain distance. Simply sitting in the back is a waste of its real potential.

@@madogthefirst yes only if you are not alone then it can work, i dont have that tank but it seems it has no much of a camo/more armour oriented. I said that for destroyers cause they are often too slow to folow up a team with faster tanks, and yes depend also on what kind of team you ll get :D Maybe with turbo this can be usable..i am not much of a player with TD but good armor and decent dmg with support of your team can work...i saw a lot of players siting back and just waiting things to happen, so i thought that thing must be played like that XD

i dont mean to hate, but your comment quite clearly shows me your lack of game knowledge. Yes the traditional role for tank destroyers is camping in a bush and sniping. But not all TD's are made to be played like that and not all maps are suitable. Going on the frontline to be agressive will help your team so much because there is another tank contributing to imporant positions not just waiting for enemies to make mistakes. Tanks like E3, E4, TS-5, Turtle, Tortoise, T95, badger, Ho-ri 3, JGPZ E100, 268v4 are all made to be played on the frontline, not snipe from a bush. Even glass cannon TD's can be played agressive in certain MM/maps, like grille, wt auf pz 4 etc. It takes a LOT of skill tho to play such tanks agressive and have impact. Go look at some TD videos from iyouxin twitch (YT channel name but also streams on twitch).

I am sorry Skill. Turtle is way better now. It's not even close. TS-5 has a huge ass cupola and also if you shoot the track holders you can pen it there. Turtle only has a very small lower plate and a very small cupola. Armor isn't as good as ts-5 in turtle, yes, but it has 10 gun depression and you hide both its weakspots that way. TS-5 can never do that.

as you said its not even close. Turtle is going almost as fast with better armor, dpm, much better gun handling and twice as much depression which allows you to play so many more positions and dominate hulldown ridges.

Yeah but the ts5 is unhinged and does more ramming damage. If you are not literally in everyone's face then you are doing it wrong. It's niche is cracking chokepoints, a breakthrough tank that can take a beating

There is plus and minus near buttons 7,8,9 also you can change them in the controls settings with - and + on the num section.

E75ts is better, its way more flexible. Though it does come with a few problems as in it has a lot of weakspots and the engine usually breaks when shot in the lower plate. Highlight of e75ts is the gun.

I honestly loved vipera more than ts-5❤ It probably me just being very new to the game and knowing how to use this tank armor, but it treated me poorly, people kinda always know how to deal with me, penetrating my cupola or lowerplate with every shot :/ My armor use on ts-5 is 0.6 while on vipera its 1.07. The gun trolled me as hard as on vipera or even worse.

I hate this td with a passion, gun is unreliable af, armor inexistant in tier 8 and above, mobility completely inadequate for 15 to 5 sim meta. Sure you can bully low tiers, but overall I'd play something with good mobility and gun like skorp 9 times out of 10 even in city maps

Back when I still played, I loved this tank but played it less over time because of that changing meta. I averaged a 62% WR, mostly solo as a 52% overall player though lol It's also worth noting I played about 500 games IIRC

Skorpion trolls me way too much with the gun, for me it’s super unreliable and I feel like wz 120 g ft or whatever it’s called is more accurate than Skorp (both have 3 skills and of course I’m not a pro at this game but I can handle stuff)

That last game I can't believe how unaware players can be when the valley collapsed. Skill turns back, but the rest push on. Why? Clueless? Skill you should have asked for help.
