The Panther II only existed as a fully completed hull which the the Americans recovered and brought back to the states to test. The Tiger II with the 10.5cm gun only ever existed has a proposal. Which was impractical and pointless, while the 8.8cm gun in the shmaltrum turret was a different project.

You should give the Coelian its own video, it is the hidden gem of the removed lineup. It plays like a pseudo IFV, but more importantly CAS 'players' think you are an Ostwind II which leads to some very funny moments when strafing turns into certain death, followed by screeching and coping in chat.

the tiger 105 causes the kind of fear factor in my teammates that make them treat it like its a maus despite only having slightly more firepower than the normal tiger 2

Considering its frontal armor making it almost imposible to pen even with sabot shots and that sometimes the barrel dosen't get destroyed (even when i hit it head on only turned yellow) so yeah, that tiger in a bottle neck position its a nightmare if there is no way to flank it

The Panther II hull does exist, it's just that after mounting multiple different turrets (including the one seen on the Panther F), it was realised it would solve a few problems but would result in basically a completely new tank, so they scrapped the project, kept the hull, and put the finalised design turret on a regular Panther G chassis as the Panther F. Even that project couldn't be completed because the war was over by that point. Still, have the Panther II chassis, give it a Panther F turret, and it should be good. You just have a slightly fatter Panther now

We're you got this nice fairytale from ? 😅 The Panther 2 was rejected , cause simple side skirts solved the problem with Soviet 14,5mm AT rifles . The new turret called Schmalturm used to be on the Panther F , wich also was never completed . The F had a better hull and they put some G turrets on F hulls , that's it . There was no real F version with the Schmalturm .

@@5co756 I don't think you understand what happened. Panther F is nothing more than a Schmallturm on a Panther G chassis. The Panther II was not just about side skirts, but about a better engine (HL234), increased front armour and a new transmission/gearbox, as well as sharing as many parts as possible with the Tiger II. The Panther II had a specially designed turret, which was the "schmale Blendenausführung Panther", but it was rejected for the Schmallturm, which was then kept for the Panther F project, which as I stated in the comment, never went anywhere. The Panther II was a project that already started in early 1943, but continued on until mid 1944 due to differing ideas on what the Panther II was going to be.

​@@shockblaster1201 the Panther II in real life doesn't have either the HL234 engine or Tiger II transmission. This is because it was not meant to have those improvements. The real project was just meant to have improved protection due to experiences on the Eastern front, specially from the 14.5 anti tank rifles that the Soviets used. When it was cancelled, the HL234 engine didn't even exist yet.

Nah the panther 2 started at 6.7 and got moved to 7.0. Personally I believe that was completely unnecessary and undeserved because now the panther 2 is almost unplayable especially when uptiered.

Panther 2 actually exists. It was a prototype but it was found without a turret so the allies put a panther g turret and now its in a museum. The tiger 2 105 was only a proposed upgrade for tiger 2.

the german 7.0 lineup is just so much fun, that 105 on the tiger rips through most targets with some aiming, and the engine and transmission upgrades for the panther absolutely make it one of my favourite tanks at 7.0. honestly they could add a more real panther 2, i think it was drawn up to be more like a panther F with the engine and transmission upgrades and with the 75mm not the 88, but im not entirely sure. considering how the snail adds many fictional configurations, and mods for russian tanks i feel like the collien is just as real as those

panther 2 exist, its just have a original hull with a turret from panther G ( Americans put it on hull to doing range target shooting ) and its in general George Patton museum in Fort Knox now.

The "radwagen90" is just a tub onto which a tower has been flanged to make it look better. It never existed like that.

@@Thehackofzwerg It had a unique turret designed by Rheinmetall-Borsig called the Schmale Blendenausführung that was basically the rear of a normal Panther turret but with a narrow front and redesigned mantlet, it was never built and when the US captured the Panther II hull it was only fitted with weight simulators. The Panther II was fitted with an Ausf G turret post US testing to make the vehicle look more complete for display purposes only.

The catch with Gaijin's Panther II is that it's 4 separate vehicles - Panther 8,8cm, Panther 2, Panther F(different Schmalturm variant) and Panther with NVD. Tiger B 10,5cm is basically the same story, being combination of 10,5cm armed Tiger B and one with rangefinder in the turret. Meanwhile the Panther derived SPAAG just had the same problem as Ho-Ri(there are 6 possible iterations, we have no idea which one was build) - we have no idea about final turret design chosen, but unlike Gaijin's iteration of Ostwind II, it at least existed(problem of Ostwind II is that irl one would have used over&under barrel configuration and same gun shield as original, not a "navy style" side by side arrangement with new gunshield). And the reason why I mentioned Sla16 is because the theory is that it was to be used on Jagdtiger, NOT Tiger B due to different engine deck shown in the blueprints. That would mean that game lacks 3 possible Jagdtiger variants - Jagdtiger 8,8cm, Jagdtiger Sla16 and Jagdtiger with Porsche's bogie suspension. All 3 would have a minor mobility boost due to lower weight OR higher engine power. Not enough to add them to the tree, but fine enough for battlepass vehicles.

You just make it look so seamless. That said, I redownloaded this game to look if I had these vehicles. AND I DO. I'm going to suck at this but I'll give this game a try again.

The Panther II's hull exists in the US. It was captured in Germany and it is pretty much identical to the regular Panther except I believe the main armor plate in the front is 2cm thicker along with interlocking armor plates to make the hull more resilient. As well as having the exact same road wheels as Tiger II. That is literally pretty much all the main differences lol.

The Panther 2 did have one hull that was produced but never went beyond just the single hull, eventually after it was captured it was given a Panther G’s turret and I think it’s on display somewhere in the US

Day 90 You should play a tank with hydropneumatic suspension (recommend the MBT-70) But the catch is you have to drop the suspension as low as it can go for the whole match.

I ran into two Panther lls in one day. Which was actually today I forgot that one of my teammates was use the 105 Tiger today.

I would honestly like to see a new Panther II, but how it was intended to appear. If anything, the model makers could use that Panther II hull that's in a museum and simply slap on the Panther G turret if they can't find the intended turret design.
