This is a kick-ass review, I'm watching for the 4th time as I just ordered mine and have to wait for it to come all the way from China. Will play the heck out of GBA, fallout new Vegas, read comics and watch movies. I have a gaming tablet, but it's way to heavy to use comfortably and casually when I'm in bed. For some demanding titles, I can use the cloud connecting to my Xbox (assuming the Wi-Fi is decent)

Is it possible to reconfigure the sensitivity of the pen in the driver as on classic graphics tablets? You said it's plastic, it turns out it needs to be covered with some kind of film so as not to get scratches? P.S. Surprisingly, it looks very good, a super weak processor is alarming, but more the lack of cooling, I wonder if it is possible to freelance in digital art full time or it will burn out at some point.

Yup you can install the 'wacom feel' driver which gives you full pen control using the wacom software. THe screen does have a plastic screen protector pre-installed on it. I don't think it would burn out, I see no reason you couldn't use this as an art tablet and use it for professional applications.

for $400 that bundle with the keyboard and stylus isn't bad at all

Just got my Ubook X 2023 with 12GB RAM and 512GB (475GB) SATA SSD. That thing is snappy with a nice display. Tablet PC + stylus + keyboard on Black Friday sale with a 14% coupon and gift (got a nice little wireless mouse) for 343€...hilarious 😀 Almost all reviews have a problem with the bezels. I am glad that they are more wide, because I do a lot of reading books and comics on tablets and my hands don't interfere with the display, so I can hold it comfortable. And with the 3:2 aspect ratio it is ideal for the task. Quite capable little thing. For that money, it is great.

This is a tablet form factor PC running on Windows 11 and a CPU (it is old but still quite good) with the x86 architecture, which has a different purpose than ARM processors. ARM processors are more power efficient and made for a slightly different purpose (except Apple with the M1-3 which are basically ARM processors with dedicated software or x86 soft with a dedicated translation layer, so the x86 soft can work with the ARM hardware). For everyday browsing, watching KZread and playing simple Android games get an Android tablet, which should be cooler running, less power-hungry (some chipsets are more efficient, and some are less...you have to look up some reviews so you don´t buy a power hungry hot running lemon). If you want to use PC soft and play some older PC games, get a Windows tablet PC. Personally I am very fond of this thing, and use it for entertainment every single day. And if sh´t would hit the fan, and my workstation laptop would breakdown, it can run the soft I´m using at work, tried it and it works in an acceptable manner (usable, not anywhere near as fast but it would save the day) as a backup, and is able to connect two more displays thru USB C and the micro HDMI port, still able to be charged thru the charging port and the USB A still unoccupied which you can use to ad an USB splitter and ad more usb devices. So it is far more versatile than a Android tablet. The other side of these cheep Chinese tablets, is the aftersales care. They churn out these tablets with different CPUs every year, so when something breaks, it will be a problem to repair something when they lack the stock of replacement parts, like mainboards etc. And Windows tablets from Microsoft or another mainstream vendor are much more expensive for the same performance level that you get with this UBook X. In this screen diameter there is the Lenovo P12 with Android for around 400€ without any accessories, but you get the customer support that you probably wont get from Chuwi or any other Chinese vendor. Your choice. There is no simple answer to this question. Sorry.

About the sound. There is a Realtek audio console program with an equalizer and "omni speaker" sound effect, which basically transforms the sound with the right manual equalizer settings. Playing around with this fun tablet PC. It is great for old games. I have a Legion 5 gaming laptop, but this is so much fun. Old games, comics reading, youtube watching.... So much fun 👌👍 Great bang for the buck.

Probably not going to do a dedicated video, but I love the laptop. It's my main travel laptop. Super small and portable, but still comfy to use and type on. No issues with it so far. Obviously not made for gaming though.

I've owned a couple Chuwi devices in the past and I wasnt able to install/run Netflix and some other apps. Also had issues with sleep mode so I set to "Never". Are you able to Netflix on this one? Does it have TPM 2.0?

All my past Chinese tablets had a problem with Sleep. I ended up setting it to Hybernate. They prolly all get it from the same vendor in the Shezhen street corner. lol Or maybe it's the same company assigned a name by Amazon. O.O

Hi, quick question. I've got this tablet also, and I've already put down do plastic where was intel logo and other specs on the display. But not I've got few bubbles in corners and ugly scratches on the display, could there be another layer of protective plastic foil which I should strip off? When I look around from testing camera I see some layer of something but I'm afraid if it is really just stupid plastic sheet or is it touchreactive layer :D

Yes there is a screen protector on it which can be removed. Peel it off from a corner if you want to remove it (I removed mine)

What app do u use for digital art?

Would be nice if you showed hwmonitor with something like this together with cpuz. Cpuz lets you task the cpu to 100%. Hwmonitor will show you the temps. I would like to see how it does after having the cpu at 100% for an hour. Hot summer days might be a problem, i have seen these pc tablets like hp die within 2 years... my guess would be because of heat.

If it can handle drawing and light games, what about 3d modeling ? Like blender, 3d builder etc. Not moddeling characters but simple things that goes to the printer.. im curious if it cpuld handle because few programs as shapr3d works fantastic with stylus pen for modelling

I don't think it's as exact as a Wacom tablet, my Intous Pro cost as much as this thing, but as tablets go it's really good. I'd say it's almost as good as an iPad + Apple pencil, which is actually incredible for this price point.

Does it have palm rejection?

I bought a Chuwi Ubook X directly from Chuwi, one with 2160x1440 res. Or so I thought because when I got it the thing was a 1920x1080 Ubook. I told them this, they said to send back the wrong one and they would send the right one. I waited a few days for the tracking number for the correct tablet and now they have no idea who I am. They even gave me a fake tracking number for the keyboard and stylus I paid for but never got. Avoid Chuwi at all costs because it will cost you dearly.

Look, you got a free tablet, cool, perhaps you genuinely like it for now. Objectively, however, it's a shit tablet - its $359, doesn't play gamecube or ps2 well, it won't be supported past this season, and is e-waste. I've owned these before, maybe not this one. Its not even this necessarily - Taki overhyped the shit out of the RP2+ as a gamecube player - it wasn't. The Phawx creamed over the GPD WIn whatever, and that, although cool, was a $1,200 monstrosity that had tons of problems. Overhype and underdeliver. The common thread was the KZreadr had some financial interest in the product or company or website selling them. I should note I am happy for the content, but, am starting to feel grossed out by how the content creator market is developing into a third-party advertisement feeder system

Holy $hit at those obese bezels 😮. Yeah, if i had to get a Windows tablet, I'd go with a new or used Surface Pro 8. It's old enough to find at a very good price and features a much better design and processing power. Probably great for pre-teens.
