Owned a r56 jcw that was 280brake, coilovers etc. Best car I have owned for the UK roads. After I went to a vx220 turbo, Mégane 275 trophy and an s2000, none of which have me the same experience. Epic cars

Got the same sparco seats in the rs3 but the 2019 grid qs, really keep you in place, look immense and only weigh 6.5 kg. Had a fair few minis R56 stage 2 with 280bhp, an F56 with 290bhp and I have gone through every motor RS MK2, RS Mégane, Civic FK8, another F56 then a Mk7 Golf Clubsport and all the way back to an R56 JCW. Imagine how good the first one would have been if I didn't get it so wrong. Love the videos J, light hearted and engaging material that just keeps people coming back. Mini driver here was also a great driver.

Great vid as always! Trust me, if you set your ST up properly, you won't be disappointed! Running 250bhp in mine and just setting the handling up with some new bits 😁 they corner amazingly well from factory with the right tyres too!

Nor was I, until I bought an R56 Cooper S last summer. Brilliant, and I mean brilliant car, and that when standard. And I've had all sorts too. I can recommend a Mini!

That's how you need the st set up lad im sure you'll take some ideas from that mini, can imagine that being pretty handy on the track 👍

I just bought my first Mini.. an 06' Cooper S, 6 speed, stage 2 tune, full Bilstein suspension kit. You are 100% correct. These cars are on a different level when it comes to the speed you can hold through any corner. I honestly think that this mini of mine has ruined every other car out there for me... I'll have to drive one for the rest of my days since no other vehicle compares.

A R56 jcw has with a manic stg 2 exactly 270hp. The turbos outmost limit is at 280hp. I had an jcw with manic stage 2 for years. Without a hybrid this thing isn't near 300 hp. Only to get the facts straight.

Mine was 280bhp 400nm stage 2. A friend had a 63 plate GP and that did 297bhp same set up both N18.

@@freddyer6307 its like physically not possible dude. Ive seen dynos that showed like 20-30 hp more. I calibrate my ecu and let me tell you something. The Manic maps were the most sophisticated pieces of software out there. Believe me they did changes to the ecu to get every ounce of power out.

The mini Cooper S JCW from 2005 and onward has a factory limited slip differential, Those are not the greatest like a quaife dif. But they do have one from factory.

Car is on point 👌 just can't help but notice how close your heads are to the cage. Without a helmet if you have a crash your done for.

Nice car, but it is never going to weigh 300kg less than stock with the installed cage. You would need to replace glass windows and bonnet and boot lid. Maybe then you get to about 1 tonne.

I`ve got a similar Setup, but without a Navi or anything fancy. His should weigh around 1150. 1000kg can only be managed with everything in carbon fibre, like the SCHIRRA MINI. Cheers

Mini Cooper S R56 Curb weight (without nav) is 1,200 odd kg. Also, weighing the back seats totalled around 15kg and each stock front seat was around 15kg each, from memory. Thats around 45kg of weight saved from removing seats alone.

Can’t go wrong with that mini, Proper motor.

I have a 2012 308 gt 200 they share the same engine as these just different turbo internals. But can't find any Peugeot tuners with details on them I'm wondering if a mini tuner would be able to work with it?

Just a quick question boys and girls just bought a mini 56 reg with a full john cooper works exhaust, it crackles and pop as it is but would you get rid of the cat?

I have the base car this was built from, but the convertible version, so 2011 JCW with 211bhp, which includes the wheels, uprated brakes, exhaust etc. Lots of fun.

R53 gp1 is by far the best mini ever made but any of the r53 jcw are special to drive... But 300hp looks like a lot of fun even in the bigger minis
