Yeah they are definitely spendy, I really want to get my hands on a witch doctor at some point, id definitely go for the plain blade though

Spartan's website had a "For God & Country" Harsey Folder 2021 Special in stock this morning so, with a little trepidation, I snagged it. It was sold out everywhere else, so I had to act. I'm glad your review gives me some confidence that I made a good decision. Now for the wait.

I just got the Plague Doctor and it's AWESOMENESS...but it's a bit stiff and it's used. but I'm going to give it a spa day and in the safe it will go.

I think quality can come from any country, however if I am going to spend anything over $300 I’m looking at US made. I’d rather that much money support the people here, especially at this point in history.... there are a couple countries I’d rather not support right now and I think we all know who they are (and what they’re up to)

Just bought this very same model "Join or Die" with Damascus. I have a Plague Doctor Damascus that I daily which does an outstanding job! CN Damascus is beautiful and great as a daily, with a razor edge, good edge retention, and easy sharpening. It's not a super steel but very usable for day to day with quick touch-ups here and there. You only live once, if you want something go for it!! At least that's my way! Great review, I'll be coming back.

It's a classic American made knife and I think people that love their CRK and Strider knives are also going to love the harsey folder if they don't have one already, this is a knife I could see lasting for a lifetime

I have a plain Jane version of the Spartan Harsey folder that was miss-marked s35vn and it is in s45vn with a*supposedly .making it a mistake from the factory.

That's crazy!! But I have love for knives with story to them, I see knives as pieces to eventually pass down to family members or good friends and the best part is the story

It's on my list as well, not cheap at all but then again it's quality US so I'm not terribly surprised at the pricetag

I personally really like this and the motif theme. All of the ones I saw look good and seem well thought out. Thanks for sharing.

Quality can come from anywhere. Its just that the US, Japan, and Germany are well known for their quality so it's easier for me to be ok spending money on a product from one of those places

I am on the train for quality over country of origin. I own many knives, and my Evo 3.0 out performs most of my USA made knives. I wanted the dlt exclusive warhog version for the harsey, but it has been out of stock for over a year now. Picked up the same damascus join or die version from ebay auction for 480.

Rather have this instead of a $700 sabenza

I really wanted a plague doctor at one point, and ended up picking up an Inkosi first, after that the Spartan seems just a little redundant. Ultimately, I think the lack of a sharpening choil killed the idea all together, knit picky, I know, but it is what it is. Id be curious how you felt comparatively between the 2, even they admit Chris Reeve taught them a lot lol. Id still love to play with one, but just cant justify it.

I have the plain ti harsey folder in magnacut, and a large sebenza 31 in s35vn. In terms of quality I'd say they're pretty much identical. The ergos are way better on the harsey and it's basically meant to be flicked open as opposed to rolled open like the sebenza. Those are the biggest differences in my opinion.

It's not "Chinese manufacturing power or prowess", it's Chinese lowwww labor and regulatory costs. Oh, and I do want a full size Harsey Folder.

Quality > country of origin, for me.
