About the guy filming there's also a YT channel named after him (Alex Bodger). I don't know if this is actually him but we can see a kid doing unsupervised videos, mostly chasing for clout and he kind of looks (and sounds) like him, so that could explain the story. Please tell me if I am wrong though.

I get where you're coming from, but it's also important to note that the guy who stabbed the father immediately went back inside the Starbucks. There's still an active stabber around the area and for those people, at least, it's wiser to not set that guy off any more and get attacked themselves. If the stabber walked away from the Starbucks, I'm certain the help would've been more immediate. It's just a lot more scary when you're steps away from the guy who did the stabbing. Twice I’ve been in situations where I’ve had to help/save strangers, almost giving CPR to one, theres a Couple of times where I didn’t step in and on one occasion delayed my response to a pregnant woman collapsing in the hospital emergency room (as I wasn’t the closest and assumed those nearby would spring into action but didn’t) Those situations bugged and stressed me massively even now recalling them, that I didn’t help sooner, even though everything turned out ok as far as I’m aware, they still haunt/stress me out

Out of all of Charlie’s videos, this is the one of the few age restricted videos on his channel. And it makes complete sense. My heart goes out to the families involved in this absolute tragedy.

I know it bothers some people so I always try to be careful and not blow huge clouds when I'm near people I don't know but still, if someone asked me I'd have no problem either waiting until their gone to take a hit or just going further away from them.

This happened where I live and I use to catch the bus right where he was stabbed. This video makes me sick but so do the actions of everyone that was there that day. No one stepped up to help the dad that got stabbed. Not a single person put pressure on the wound or even stepped up to him.

Oh my god… that poor girl. Even at that age, that memory is going to haunt her forever. Can’t forget something like that. I could never stomach just filming it and not running to help that poor child.

Regardless of whether she remembers it or not, I just really hope she's able to process it in a healthy way and live a fulfilling life despite her loss.

I cannot get over the fact that the entire time this clown was shouting, "Man's dead bro!", the victim's 3-year-old was right next to them. I'm surprised he could restrain himself from getting footage of the baby's face and shouting "WORLDSTAR". There aren't even words for this kind of incident. My condolences to the family. 😢

i feel like we've entered a weird age where this will be more and more common place. people won't look to help first, they'll look to film. there's already been a few examples. i remember those kids that beat an old woman to death in chicago a few years back had some kids just live streaming it across the street but not helping. people in the turkey earthquake were live streaming themselves trapped under the rubble instead of calling for help lol. shit is getting weird real fast.

As someone who’s coping mechanism is humour and laughter, not even I would laugh at a man dying in front of me. This guy is genuinely just unhinged and absolutely insane.

This happened in Vancouver BC. Last summer I was working down there and witnessed an old man fall into traffic and be killed by a bus due to the Jolly Bee next door having too many people taking up the sidewalk. As this man lay there dying, a handful of us worked on calling an ambulance and blockading the man from the public. Most people were just walking by taking photos or videos. It's sick, it's sad and it needs to be addressed.

That's what a lot of people do. When I was in high school my freshman year we had a lot of fights, and everyone's first reaction was to just stand there and film it, fuck getting someone who can do something or stepping in (although it is tough and not always safe) Everything has to be recorded, no matter how tragic, so people can gain clout. Then when the sensible people call them out, they reel backwards and play the victim. This guy wasn't thinking about anything except the potential views he would get online. Fucking pathetic

@@NickNov i do cherish him, so so much. he’s recovering from prostate cancer and it’s been extremely hard on him. his radiation treatments have finished and now he’s in the recovery phase, but he’s sick as a dog and in constant pain. it’s so heartbreaking to see the ones you love in pain, knowing you can’t take the pain away. i am not religious but i have prayed for my family, and the poor mother and daughter.

This happened right outside my work, many of the bystanders are people I know and some that I work with. I’m really disturbed. Vancouver is honestly terrifying right now, Granville street is the new Hastings

This similar situation happened to a classmate from my rotc class. In the morning, when he was walking, he was hit by a car and was blacked from the impact for more than 10 minutes and when he started to gain conscious he sees people around him and was literally fucking filming him while he was unconscious on the floor for who knows how then they have been there. To this point where people who do this kind of shit just to gain their amusement just shows that the world is already losing their humanity.

As a father of a toddler myself, this just breaks my heart. That little girl will probably never know terror like that in her life again (god willing) and thats extremely traumatic for a small child. The thought of my baby girl watching me die in front of her and no one else around her that she knows is terrifying to me as a parent as well. I hope the scumb bag who stole not just one but 3 futures, gets his comeuppance.

I’m a father of two teenage boys and reading your comment regarding your feelings when contemplating how your daughter would feel if something like this happened to you is so relatable. As my boys get older and become more independent, I find myself further removed from such haunting thoughts. I know it’s because nothing can compare to the beautiful innocence of a little child. I recall many occasions watching my little boys play together in our back yard and a nightmarish thought comes into my mind similar to what happened to this poor father. Thinking about my boys all of the sudden being alone and in total fear while having no understanding of the situation elicits indescribable feelings. Every time I look through our picture albums, I really miss that stage in their lives. I wanted them to stay that young and innocent forever. But time has a tendency to fly by way to fast as a father. Now my oldest just got his license and loves the new car I bought for him. And my youngest will soon get his as well. I am so thankful that my boys never had to endure trauma, tragedy or loss during their years of perfect innocence. So I wish the same for your little girl. Take care and thanks for your comment

The problem specifically here is…. Who is gonna sue him? The three year old daughter? I don’t think a bystander can just sue somebody else for something they did to someone else that isn’t directly related to them in some way…. Now if the guy who got stabbed survived then that would be a different story…. But unfortunately there is not much legally to do here since the dead can’t sue him…. Well maybe the daughter can sue when she gets older but that’s iffy, the only other thing I can think of are other family members of the now deceased dad and daughter. I think the most gut-wrenching part of that video wasn't all the blood that covered the pavement, but the sounds he was making as he dropped to the ground. The last two agonizing groans he let out made me sick to my stomach. Rest in peace to this father and shame on Alex for his disgusting and deplorable behavior.

@@HeatherHolt Not even going to bother watching it then, The Toolbox Killers Shirley Ledford audio tape was surprisingly what really made my gut wrench. I have seen all sorts of sick stuff in my life, but those screams coming from the tapes being played in the courtroom, which you only hear snippets from as people leave the room absolutely distraught is haunting. I felt bad days after watching/listening to that. To think the FBI supposedly uses those tapes to desensitize recruits is just chilling.
