Long story short. I entered a tournament for women in my area. Most of them play in the Double or Triple A leagues (I play in VNEA). About an hour before leaving to warm up at the pool hall, I watched this video. I didn't win any games that night. However, I sunk all my balls against the higher seeded players to put me into the top 5 for points. Your videos have helped me grow significantly. Thank you for your advice!

Thanks for another excellent video! You are (I'm guessing) a born teacher/instructor. the quality camera work and pace of each video is spot on IMHO. There is a lot of folks doing similar videos, but damn few if any , it appears to me, put the time ,effort, and preparation into them that you do. 🙋🏼‍♀️Hello, I love your videos. I tell all of my friends about them. I really love 💕 the way you explain each shot and have a graphic to show the English you are using. This is especially helpful to know when I want to put the cue ball in a certain spot on the table. The thing I have the most trouble with (as I’m sure most people do) are kick shots. You know, when an opponent sticks you in a place where you can’t see the object ball that you need to shoot at. You must either do a kick shot or a jump shot just to hit the ball and avoid giving ball-in-hand to your opponent. I would really be a big help if you showed us all more ways to get OUT of these tough situations. Also could you explain the different fouls you can have called on you in tournament play and how to avoid them, like a bump shot. Thanks so much for all of the great videos 😁👍Take care, Dee

Yesterday's tournament I was talking with my friend about losing and told him exactly the same.. If you try your best, your opponent is way better or lucky than you, you never lose in your mind and that is the most important thing. Past years I've seen many good players quit because their oly enemy standing on their way is their own ego.. You never lose untill you quit trying!👏👏👏👍

Excellent stuff, in snooker it's called playing into your next shot, rather than across, hoping that you have played the right strength of shot. It gives you a far greater margin of error.

This is a very simple but useful trick that a lot of pro players also use. Of course we always want to choose a point for the cueball and not an area. But this approach gives us again more margin for error and doesnt require pin point position. Enjoy!

just saw this video again, seems like everytime we don't want to get pin point position, we automatically choosing a medium shot for next because it need distance to get option for pockets.

When you get your new studio up and running, how about a two video series you completing the Billiard University Exam 1 Fundamentals and according to your score in Exam 1, the Exam 2 Skills Bachelor, master or doctorate... I find these exams very helpful as a structured practice session and would be nice to see you do it!

I never had a look at them. Unfortunately I was and still am not the kind of player who does drills and exercises all the time. Instead I create my own that are exactly the ones I need for my game. But I will think about it. Thanks for the suggestion :)

Hi there. Thanks man :) In my opinion I am a strong player who could win a lot more tournaments, but I have one weakness that prevents me from that: My mental game is a disaster. Most of the time I am only able to play around 50% of my actual strength. I know all the mental stuff and tricks. But it's a proccess to gain mental strength, just as learning pool. And I started way too late to work on that part, that prevents me from winning more often.

I play pool in my local league despite only being able to use my right arm... therefore no bridge. I am feared within my league/a very good player.

This will help you in c 8 ball tourneys, but it best to work on getting position you want to run table, because if you clear 3 or 4 of your balls and miss because you had a hard cut, and you playing a good b player you are done. Position is 80% of the game, bad position is why even A players miss rather easy shots... hint play several racks using only center ball or follow, run that table and you are a great position player.

You got the last 3 .. bet anything you want

I notice a lot of times people have trouble getting back out to center table. They'll get their 3 balls in starting from the outter most ball until they find themselves practically against a rail. The problem is, you're setting up your shots..."too well" because you're trying to leave yourself the easiest set up which is straight in. And when you have a triangle of balls it's easy to just follow the triangle on straight in shots especially if you start with a ball in hand. I've played enough to know to see this trap and try to escape it before it's too late. Sometimes that means picking a harder shot because you have more of an angle on it which is a smaller slice hit of the ball but you just won't get rewarded if you don't take the harder shot. However I consistently play against the same guy who isn't as good as I am. And what he'll do is pocket his two easy to get in balls then "intentionally miss" the 3rd as a safety even though he has a clear shot on it. He'll use his last ball to block pockets, or jam it between my stuff in a way that usually gets him a ball in hand because I can't see the few remaining balls of mine that are left because he has so much crap on the table still. and he'll do this technique until the game comes down to both of us having like 2 balls left on the table.

it's like playing against someone who thinks like a chess player. More concerned about how to screw you over than they are making a shot that they should be trying to go for. It's very frustrating when you run 6 balls on the first turn and spend the next 5 turns giving up balls in hands because they constantly put you in a position where the only way to hit your ball is by a magical 3 rail kick.

Useful video however I was told that u want to visualize 3 shots ahead at least or more if possible so I dont think of patterns in this sense

He said to think 3 shots ahead in the video. Pros use this and also what they call "longest line approach". He is uses a line that crosses multiple zones for multiple open pockets. In cases when you pocket choice is limited, you would find a line that allows for the largest margin of error when entering the position zone for that specific pocket. Same thought towards widening your margin of error whether it's using multiple pockets, one pocket, or even playing position to play a safety.

So apparent center cue ball looking frim stanfing usnt the real center. Its actually a little top i funally fugured our why i never got 90 degree tangent line results. Fml

Let me hook you up. In your video their is a font that comes in that says, "Consider to leave a thumbs up." This is bad English. You should say, "Please consider leaving a thumbs up."

But there is still a chance that i am too stupid to understand the deeper meaning of that video anyway... so what, dont rewatch it anymore.

As long as you've got English know-how, true. Nothing bad can happen. But what about the player who knows nothing about English? They try making a shot, disregarding position entirely and usually always end up in a bad position.

American pool is shit way too easy. You can miss the pot and it still goes in off the rail english pool is by far the superior game for good players. Pockets are half the size and unforgiven
