Usually most stylists have no patience and would brutalize and burn/damage natural hair being forceful and rushed(even ones who claim to be good w/natural hair), why most just manage their hair at home. Got a silk press done and the fact that my scalp had to get burned every time the flat iron touched my head was the most awful experience. It makes me question if it’s even worth it. I literally cried because I felt like 400 degrees was being seared on my scalp for about an hour. It hurt so bad. The fact the the stylist couldn’t adjust & not put the flat iron super close to my head, even when she could see I was hurting just baffled me. Like no words. I think my natural hair is what I can handle, I don’t think I want to get burned every 2 weeks to maintain a silk press hairstyle 😩☹️🙄

Hope I seen this correctly lol Steps :(maybe )Olaplex shampoo ..Olaplex No5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner ,followed by sectioning off hair, then applying Redken Extreme heat repair treatment before blowdrying /brushing til silky straight...Simply Beautiful and Wonderful job!

This is one of the best hair straightening videos I've seen. The young lady had a lot of thick hair, but the stylist made the process seem easy and in the end the hair looked silky and beautiful. Awesome professional job.

The extreme shine was apparent during the blow dry process, way before you flat ironed &!curled the hair. A great deal of the straightening process was completed during that all important blow dry stage. The flat iron, just increased the shine another 50% & the hair looked like glass. You are the kind of beautician I would break my neck to have. Anyone lucky enough to be under your care will enjoy a beautiful , healthy head of hair. The results were just phenomenal! The beautiful young lady looked stunning in her new do! Extremely well done!

My daughter introduced me to the blower dryer with big brush attached. I love how easy it is to use, it has taken two days of doing my hair down to one. I also several years ago learned how to maintain moisture in my hair by twisting it, after I put oils on it and tying it up with a silk cap. Coconut oil I learned to condition my thick hair. Now when I wash my hair, no tangling and very soft. I am 63 years old and just 9 years ago learned how to take better care of my hair. Research and KZread. I love watching these videos.I don't do relaxers, wigs, etc. My choice.

Awesome. I would say please dont use coconut oil on your hair. It clogs it and does damage over time. Use shea butter or another nut oil

When I think of getting the perfect silk press this is what I envision. Beautiful results.

Natural hair is our natural beauty , yes the straight hair is pretty but a lot of black women done have straight. Love to our people and may we all love ourselves ❤️

Here is more inspiration to go with a silk press on natural hair: there is a new class action suit against the major manufacturers of chemical relaxers for causing cancers in the uterine, etc., especially in AA women. Be blessed, now that we know.

Can’t sleep on healthy 4c hair. Just sayin. I’m 4a but have some 4c too. The shrinkage is *real* for real but the 4c continues to be the healthiest most resilient strands in my entire head.

I don't miss a day of relaxer. I was so shocked when I had my natural hair pressed out. The shine and health of my hair was 100 times better and looked better then when I was relaxed. We don't need chemicals to straighten our hair. ❤️
