Japanese puns, gotta love 'em. The status skill synergy in Sunbreak is amazing, with Foray, Trigger and Buildup all working together to give you some cool buffs. I haven't even tried it with Switchaxe yet but you BET it's gonna be amazing there. Enjoy fellas. x

I made a Max Copium Deluxe set 2 days ago with fully augmented pieces Syphilis Penis (Flaming Espinas) Goldian Silverlos Risen Cham Viomizu Shaggy which gives me Fire Attack 5 Agitator 3 Embolden 1 Bladescale Hone 1 Adrenaline Rush 1 Status Trigger 1 Cham Blessing 3 Spiribirds Call 1 Foray 2 Buildup Boost 1 Elem Exploit 1 Elem Crit 1 Bubbly Dance 3 Resuscitate 3 Bloodlust 1 Coalescence 2 Fortify 1 Wex 3 Crit Boost 3 Masters Touch 3 Razor Sharp 1 Handicraft 1 Attack Boost 4 Burst (Chain Crit) 2 Flinch Free 1 The lows are horrendous, but the highs, when the stars align and all buffs are active are fantastic I destroy monsters left and right...for like 30sec, then my DPS plummets just like my active skills I still take it on fireweak monsters just for shits and giggles, cuz it's a fun set to play with, trying to keep all skills active

It would be even more amazing if it also triggered from perfect guards instead of just dodges.

My favorite thing about having poison on every Flaming Espinas weapon is that all of the strongest monsters are strong against fire or poison, so you never get to have both benefits.

I literally made a build with this yesterday for the chammy switch axe and goldian sns. Still works really well and pumps out good damage. I imagine poison phial or element phial with poison/blast might give interesting results too. Switcher deco opens up space and kind of removes the requirement of needing status trigger for non power phial swaxe. Sunbreak just opened up such incredible build diversity with the TU's.

I’m also playing with a similar set. I play switch axe and realized that all these dodge skills can be benefited by the wire step skill, so I got bladescale hone, adrenaline rush and status trigger, then stacked with buildup boost and foray. I never have to sharpen and the monster is nearly always poisoned. Feels pretty good about it!

To many monsters just resistant to fire and poison.

I've been running a status dual blades set since the first title update that I've been having a lot of fun with. This set is basically what I had come up with as an upgrade for it, though slot out offensive skills for stamina skills. Unfortunately I'm not even MR70 yet, but that gives me time to make an anti-Chameleos armor set because I know it'll give me a hard time and that I'll be fighting it a lot. As for Violet Mizutsune gear, I'm working on what can best be described as an anti-rage build with full Embolden, Defiance, and Agitator.

I like to use Flaming espinas weapons with this. The dual blades for example have 15 affinity and a 3 slot for Kushala soul for another 15. This combined with foray's 20 means you only need WEX and crit boost for a full crit build.

I want to use this set. I've been sold on it just a minute and a half in. The skills are also pretty great but it's mostly the name that's just absolutely perfect

What is the layered Armor ? I Like that 🙂

Sword and shield can be built for full raw if you want to, hard bash combo really enables it. Also the shield bashes don't consume sharpness

I made this exact set to play around with my hammer, although I went with puki hammer with some handicraft because it has an insane amount of poison buildup (twice what the other poison hammers have) while having the same damage as the lucent and espinas hammers.

Can we switch the weapon with kinsect for this build?

Two big things to talk about with this type of set: 1. You can definitely run status trigger gameplay on Surge Slash Greatsword, which you briefly mentioned GS being one od the longer setup playstyles that might not use it (which is true for the Strongarm counter gameplay ofc) 2. With Violet Mizutsune waist giving 1 Adrenaline rush and 3 agitator, it fits nicely into the armor set of Goldian Head, Risen Chest, Lucent Arms, Violet Waist, and Shagaru or Risen Legs. Status Trigger lvl2, Adrenaline Rush 3, Foray 3, Cham Blessing 3, Build Up Boost 1, WEX 3, Crit Boost 3, Bloodlust, Evade Window 3, and then 1 Bladescale Hone for sharpness uptime. Very comfy set for weapons like HH or Surge Slash GS, and that above set of skills doesn't even require a talisman or any weapon slots

Yeah I love using the set in the video with Shagaru legs, but I’m still messing around with stuff for SnS. It’s really cool being able to play around with this stuff, which is what’s great about the set!

Embolden skill really makes me more ... bold to receive enemy attacks. Now I can just use my regular Guard Point in CB to take on enemy's strongest attack.

Just basically : a dark-soul set

This works with Exhaust Phials right? Maybe Cera Cymmerry can do a Cera Cediment Speedrun

I got diversion on my charge blade build chest pieces, I've done my Qurious crafting forever

I named my buildup boost and status trigger set risen lune

It works amazing for evade lancing

I ended up coming to the same sort of set! It's just all kinds of fun to use status shenanigans, and it seems super flexible as well

puns aside (loved it) it's my understanding that buildup boost applies only to the hit that actually causes status buildup so, that 10/15/20% raw boost is already a less impressive 3.3/5/6% on average and sure, status trigger can totally fix the issue, but with how (actually, no pun here) garbage rolls are in rise is consistent enough to begin with? and assuming you also slot evade window 5 to fix this other issue... there is enough room left for your weapon specific skills if any, AND crit boost with enough affinity? otherwise buildup boost is not going to outdamage anything in a scenario where attack boost 4+, critical eye 7, weakness exploit 3 and critt boost 3 is easily achievable with less than average charms and augments

Literally everything you’ve posted here is tackled in the video: EW5 comes with the set as standard. It requires you to be more active and roll more attacks. No, it’s not the best and can be outdamaged easily, that’s not the point. We talk about buildup boost and how it activates only on the hit that applies status. Very confused here, did you comment halfway through watching or?

violet mizutsune may have been another fire monster, but it's also one of my favorite hunts in the game 😅 . I hope we don't get anymore fire monsters besides maybe Fatalis tho. next month we get variants and powered up monsters so I hope we get a goss harag variant and we likely get multiple risen elders

if u replace the risen arms with lucent arms u get adrenaline which has 15 per attack boost per evade which is tatal 30 per with 2 levels in build up so 10 per more damage

This really is the most liberating meta

All they needed to do was make Status Trigger work on perfectly timed blocks too and it would be incredible. They made Embolden good for everybody, why did they go all stingy with ST? (cries salty Charge Blade main tears)

My homies hate qurious crafting allowing damage skill and not being purely defensive or utility.

obligatory comment saying you can replace so and so with violet mizu whatevers and that other piece with something to get more damage

Qurious crafting being rng is demotivating af. So much set building ideas that just won't ever happen...
