We work together on a full item Pokemon Crystal Randomizer. All Key Items, Badges, Items you receive from NPCs, hidden items, berry trees and overworld item balls are randomly shuffled.
Regular stuff like random Pokemon and random moves is also added!

Look for "Universal Pokémon randomizer". It's an app that allows you to do this
How did they switch genders in game when the T-Tar battle happened?

they refer to the previous game file where they had different genders, but their game crashed so they restarted the race
