The "reset" thing is basically a Twitch meme whenever something bad happens. It WAS born from speedruns and nuzlockes, but it's now a general thing.

Main reason the sprites are more polished in this game is because the anime existed at this point. they had something to use as a reference. The original game was what the anime was based on. This is why the sprites suck in R/B/G. Yellow had the anime as a reference as well and as you can see, it too has better looking sprites.

@@Smallant If you check the footage around 38:20 tho you can see that Logan wasn't paralyzed yet during the first two Thunderwaves. I'm confused.

38:27 Thunder wave missed because gen 2 cheats for the player. If a CPU uses a non-damaging move it is given a 30% chance to do nothing even if it should be 100% accurate. Gen 2 also helps the player in other ways. It has badge boosts, falkner gives you a hidden 9/8 attack, whitney 9/8 speed, jasmine 9/8 defence, and pryce 9/8 both specials, and each badge also boosts the move power of moves of its type by another 9/8. Flying type moves are ~26.5% more powerful after defeating falkner, because he permanently boosts both attack stat and flying type move power. This makes being underleveled very easy in gen 2.

The stat based badge boosts are also in gen 1 and 3, and are referenced in game by the man in cerulean who tells you what each badge does (although the type based is only gen 2), and you can see it because you can outspeed some wild pokemon, and then catch them only to find they have a higher speed stat.

@@kingv-raptor840 Gen 2 has odds of 1/8192 and yes, it's based on DV values. Everything Gen 5 and beyond has dramatically easier odds and while the shininess isn't determined by IVs at that point, it's MUCH easier to get a shiny (1/4096). Not sure what you mean by "truly random".

This is such a fun concept, really enjoy how the levels, names, and overall ‘character’ of the Pokemon dont change - allows you to build up that connection with them while also having the fun randomized elements of something like a nuzlocke or traditional randomiser. Would love to try a run like this at some point.

Humans had a mutation which makes them always produce the enzymes to drink milk. Some people have it, but espicially in Asia most people dont have it

T-wave isn’t 70% accurate in gen 2 lol. It’s 100% accurate, enemy trainers just have an in-built 50% chance to miss status moves in gen 2.

I've watched a good handful of your pokemon videos and a few of your Speedrun style videos and I love your content you have a great personality for this very wholesome content 💛

Sad thing is that Ho-oh's sacred fire works more on Lugia, and Lugia's aeroblast works better on Ho-oh, because Lugia is a special attacker, and Ho-oh is a physical attacker, now sacred fire is special because of the fire typing in gen 2, and aeroblast is physical because of the flying typing in gen 2

It's been a nice series to watch on stream and now here.

Brynno's first two Pokémon he became were literally my first two shiny Pokémon I ever got. It was in the same game too. First shiny was odd egg Magby which became Magmar, and the Red Gyarados.
