Just keep in back of your mind that there are scenarios where these will pass a bad relay. My snap on has caught (in one instance) a bad relay that tested good in one of these type testers. Now it only happened 1 time but i always remember that 1 time.

@muddyriverdogz Snap On RelayTest1. I dont think snap on sells it anymore but i had just looked it up since i couldn't remember the number or name they called it. When i looked it up i seen some available for sale and some were new. Now i did pay alot for mine back in the day but it one of those things where after that scenario i had its been well worth it having that piece of mind.

It cuts out alot of Confusion with using a Volt/Ohmmeter and trying to Hunt to determine what is the correct or wrong terminals from the Out Side of any Automotive or Lawnmower or HVAC/R Relay. Excellent. That second relay was very similar to the relay in the early VW Rabbit diesel. It was used as a glow plug relay and they were prone to failure from wetness. Either condensation or in our old Wabbit, a very minor leak through the firewall allowing water to enter the relay because it was positioned in an upside down fuse and relay block under the dash and rain water would follow the wiring harness path. When I replaced it the first time, I took the old one apart to see how it worked. The relay contact point was corroded. Cleaned it with a small file (after I poured out the collected moisture, upside down position making it a cup) and bent the arm just a bit to compensate for the gap. I checked it by reinstalling and it worked fine. I took both the old one and the new one and sealed both with RTV blue. Reinstalled the new one, old one into the glove box. NO MORE WATER INTO THE RELAY, NO MORE PROBLEMS. This relay checker? It's on my list! Thanks for your always great videos!

The OLD MAN from EP here MM1 great video with a very useful tool. I will be talking with my son Jake to check out this video and see if he wants to order one for the shop. We have not worked on many riders with relays but there was one and the aftermarket Mexican relay was bad wish we had the tool back then.

What about 3 pin relay? FORD MONDEO MK3 2000 2007 INDICATORS LEVER HAZARD INDICATORS RELAY 93AG13350AC. Several car brands use it, not just Ford

cute toy i cant see where it load tests the contacts anywhere on the site. ive had too many relays that worked but caused problems from high volt drop.

Voltage drops are normally caused by a bad connections at the fuse block not the relay itself.

I was hoping that this Tool would check the ENTIRE Electrical Circut with Safety Switches...

What I don't like about the relay tests is that they don't give a proper load to the contact points in the relay with an old type of light bulb? A relay or wire can measure well until you load it with current. It should have given a load and measured volt loss!!

I am not sure why, but your link puts me into Spanish version of Amazon. I can change out of it but then it keeps reverting back. I hope that this is an affiliate link and you get at least little kick off of it as you just sold one for them. Thank you for taking the time to share.

Yes man I'm having the same issue... The BMW relay I last put in just broke this stupid Chinese junk ... They do not test Type A relays which are what BMW would be using with your setup... Need to test with multimeter or find someone that knows if their companies product will test these relays... I've emailed some companies they don't even know themselves.... The eBay ones are cheap but to buy a way more expensive brand, I'm not sure if that will work hey

now if they could just make it use a 9v battery
