In this Rare Motorcycles documentary, we go into the history of one of the most iconic and winning race motorcycles ever made, the legendary Harley Davidson XR750.
This racing motorcycle has become an icon in its own right winning countless races and championships throughout its MULTI DECADE reign of terror in flat track racing.
The XR750 was also the motorcycle of choice for the legendary stuntman Evel Knievel .
This video aims to provide a short history of these unique and rare motorcycles so you can learn about them in a quick, easy to digest video.

Yes, but what you are not remembering is that the Harley-controlled AMA made all of the superior competition illegal to compete in dirt track. If ya can't beat 'em, just pass a few rules to keep them off the track. Remember that?

yOU ARE A LIER AND LETS BET SOME MONEY. The contenders have always been BSA Triumph Norton and it was just the other way around Ama allowed Triumph BSA and Norton to run oversize cylinders to make them 750cc...today an air cooled triumph is a 1000cc ktms are allowed 900cc
Yes, I know the animation of the iron vs aluminum is on the rods and pistons instead of the actual cylinder heads, that animation looked cooler than just showing you a picture of the heads themselves. Any animation suggestions for video please leave them here!

That animation ignores the 'knife and fork' type connecting rods sharing the single crank pin......
Thanks for making a video about a weird harley. There's quite a few more, and I particularly enjoy the XR750. Also the goofy remakes like the XR1000, XR1200. Also the V-Rod destroyer, and the goofy water-cooled bike from the 80's or 90's. They've given you plenty to make content about XD

The v-rod destroyer is goofy fast at 9.6 in the 1320. Vs the goofy Hayabusa at 9.7 in the 1320. The XR1000 is a goofy street legal version of Lucifer's hammer that won the battle of the other goofy twins five years in a row at Daytona
Correction, 36 MM carbs, not 36 cc.
The best and most popular bike of its' type , and you could;d not buy one , not unless you were worthy , and part of the inner circle .

Team Harley was not in the habit of giving away all their secrets to the competition let alone allow them to have a bike that could beat theirs... since 2020 you can buy an XG750R from Vance & Hines World Headquarters in Brownsburg Indiana. Price is around $38,000 and it's a genuine Harley-Davidson with the Harley-Davidson logos on it... And comparison you can buy the FTR750 indian for around $50,000
HD could have made a road legal de tuned version and stayed relavent or made more Sporters etc . . lost opportunity

How right you are, 50% of what they showed were dressed up evo sportsters.
HD is a joke... they sound like WWII Russian tractors.....+ HD won those races in 40's when no serious motorbikes were produced by other manufacturers...soon Italians and Japanese showed up and HD understood it was as garbage engineering...
