​@@Poppieandboefje one of my favourite things about FTO is that the main method, Bencisco, is very similar to yau on 4x4. In fact FTO is slightly faster than 4 because it has fewer pieces. Super unique puzzle, love FTO

next up: i put maglev, a magnetic core, uv coated fto with the angstrom setup

Former WB holder here, the LanLan can be a perfectly viable speed puzzle if Florian modded, but people seem to enjoy the RexTO more

Good point! If you have all the materials, I still bet making a RexTO is easier (or at least less mind-numbing) than sanding down a LanLan though.

I have two LanLan modded and magnetised by Tyler himself and they are amazing (thank you Tyler)! My RexTO is marginally better but mostly because it weighs less than the LanLan

Yeah, the big things that the RexTO has over the LanLan are weight, and it doesn't pop. The LanLan is much smoother, and can corner cut a bit better. All of my former records were done on a LanLan for what it's worth

FUN FACT: Yesterday i found out that the Super Ivy Cube is = to an FTO

Video released 2 weeks before announcement of a new magnetic FTO

FINALLY!!!!! Bro I have been so excited for you to do this for so long and I don't even speedsolve FTO or own a RexTO. I might make one now though!

For my most recent RexTO, i used a file and some wet n dry sandpaper to smooth the pieces, and here's a cool trick i got from Tyler: you can polish the plastic to make it look like injection molded stuff by using notepad paper as a super fine grit abrasive. No joke it works wonders once youve got rid of the big likes from printing If i make another, I'll make a before and after video to show off just how good a RexTO can look! 😤 Also, thanks for sharing, love FTO and love seeing ofhers having fun with it!

Ayy, I remember you slyly mentioning this a little while back! This is a great puzzle, and I hope that someone as big as you bringing attention to it, will help get it put onto the WCA. I cannot wait for QiYi or MoYu to compete for best sticker less magnetic FTOs!

Now we have a face-turning tetrahedron (pyraminx), face turning cube (rubiks cube), face turning octahedron, and a face-turning dodecahedron (megaminx). All we need now is an icosahedron.

Icosaix is a thing, unfortunately it turns terribly, far worse than even a lanlan fto

Moyu makes so many Non-WCA puzzles under their "Meilong" sub-brand and they turn so well, i wish they made the FTO too

I have the Rexto and a lanlan that I modified and even added magnets to. I love the FTO, its such a good puzzle to speed solve and I truly wish it was a WCA event. Imagine the Moyu or GAN FTO with core magnets.... Just salivating over that thought.

Please get and review the new magnetic diangsheng FTO! I will be super interested to find out how it compares. I just ordered one myself, though it's on back order

Just got my LanLan FTO about a week ago! I don't care all that much about speedsolving, but I am hoping to be able to solve it in under two minutes soon

I keep going back to this video as it's really awesome to see people care so much about a puzzle like this, but there's one thing that bugs me: "Face-Turning Octahedron" sounds a bit... generic? Surely someone can come up with a much catchier name than that.
