When AJ sing Bohemian Rapsody, The Queen repost and made thanks to her great performance! I think in the future we will see any other famous musicists blowing your minds with AJ performances. By the way, react to her Elvis' "Always on my mind" performance, a tribute to her died Grand Father. Prepare your hearth!!

Avicii was friends with Angelina and her family. Angelina recorded this song shortly after the tragic death of Avicii became known. Anyone who knows Angelina notices how emotionally affected she was and music is her way of dealing with it. 💯 *AJ* 💯 Avicii ( *September 8, 1989 as Tim Bergling in Stockholm - + April 20, 2018) was a Swedish DJ, remixer and music producer in the field of electronic dance music. The single Wake MeUp was number one on the singles charts in Over 20 countries. The music video reaches over 3.2 billion viewers on KZread. 🤗🤗

When people dismiss Angelina as merely a great mimic with no life experience, I remind them that she had to deal with a friend's tragic self-inflicted death, as well as traveling the world at a young age. I love this cover because it shows both the depth of her sorrow and her determination to carry on with her own life. Great reaction and insights, Boudy!

Angelina on this reveals her supernatural abilities to emote… she is a blessing. Watch her hands and her eyes. She doesn’t sing a song. She turns every song into a masterpiece. I don’t want to diss other singers but she is on another level. The combination of vocal ability, creativity, historical music knowledge, beauty, love for people, patience, hard work… is there anything missing?

Great reaction and it was "Million Miles" and no Auto Tune was used! It sounded like it, but when you watch her July concert where she performed it, she hits the note and there is no Auto Tune, it's live just like the Studio version was. She is big in the scandinavian countries and as Avicii, Alan Walker was very aware of the talent of Angelina Jordan. Now since the age of 12, more than ever, the U.S. music industry is very aware of A.J. and what she has to offer, God Bless!

Actually I think there is One song where a bit of Autotune ( Or an other electronic effect) was added to her vocal ...probably after the fact and \perhaps without her knowledge. The EDM tune "Above the Water". Listen to her vocal near the end of the song and you can hear t. Nowhere else in her catalog have I heard any trace of it.

@@wayneraynal8487I am kind of dumbfounded as to why this is such an issue to some people. If there is one singer in the history of singing that doesn’t NEED autotune to sing in key, it is Angelina Jordan. But she doesn’t NEED reverb either, and she definitely doesn’t need the reverb to be dynamically altered during a song. Yet, that is what they (and she, as a co-producer) did on «Now I’m the Fool». Why? Simply because it sounds better - or at least it sounds like she wants it to sound. (Another example: As one of the best guitar players ever, Eddy Van Halen didn’t NEED to use distortion on his guitars, it just sounded better for most of the band’s tunes.) To my ears, there is some autotune used in the live-in-studio version of «Million Miles» and also once in «All My Fault» on the new EP. «Above the Water» is much more a sampling effect, but quite possibly some autotune as well. If not, Angelina is mimicking the autotune effect, which I don’t put beyond her at all. In any case, fhe distinctive autotune effect is audibly there. And if we can hear it, Angelina most definitely can, which means she wants it to be like that. For a lot of Angelina’s songs, autotune would sound horrible because of all the glissando she uses going both up and down. (It pretty much wrecks Michael Buble for me for this exact reason.) But in some, it could be a cool effect. And nothing more.

  • @wayneraynal8487

@@BustefaenWe Agree completely that Angelina does not "need" Autotune! I I agree that Electronic effects when used by the Artist to get a particular sound is okay as an occassional accent. OR in certain styles of music (Notably EDM and some Hip=hop offerings) What most people object to is when it (or more often, Pitch correction) is used to "clean up" the vocal instead of letting the natural sound through . They perceive it as "Cheating". I will have to listen to All My Fault, as I didn't notice it...I'll give it a more careful listen! as for Million Miles I don't think so. I've tried to listen for the distinctive "hollow whistle" sound and hear nothing like it...I will admit however that at 60+ years and hundreds of Rock & Roll shows my "high-end" hearing is not what it once was!

When this song first came out it was played way too often, and I was sick of it. At 12 years old Angelina completely changed the song into one of my favorites. Just like Suspicious Minds, it became a different song with substance. Avicii was a DJ and after achieving success Volvo car company worked with him for an advertisement. He wanted 10-year-old Angelina to sing Feeling Good, but Volvo thought a young girl who didn't drive was wrong for the part.

There is one point I would like to raise and it's clearly evident in this video. When Angelina looks straight at the camera a miracle occurs, doesn't it? She looks directly at everyone of us and we can see and feel the love in her heart touching ours. And it appears at several points in the song she was singing to Avicii's spirit. I believe that. In March 2018, shortly after Angelina moved to the U.S., leaving behind all of her close friends and probably a significant portion of her extended family in Europe, her grandfather died and a week later she released "Always on My Mind", dedicated to him. Then the following month Avicii died by suicide, leading to this tribute. The following year, in November 2019, her other grandfather died from cancer, prompting her to write "Million Miles". Again, the following month an adult friend (at least a "family friend"), Norwegian writer and artist Ari Behn, died by suicide, leading to a tribute in which Angelina played guitar and sang the SHAED song "Trampoline".

I hear this song sung by Angelina, and realize that (at that time) she was on the cusp of leaving childhood behind and becoming a young adult. I hear a bit of longing to not have to deal with the weight of her grief, but realizing that she must. She's trying to carry the weight, but only has two young hands. "Wake me up when it's all over, when I'm wiser and I'm older." Don't make me deal with this right now. But not only does she put her own raw emotions into this song, she creates a brand new version of it that all of us can turn to in times of pain and grief. Just as she says in "Million Miles", as long as we remember our departed they aren't really gone and their love hasn't died. Isn't it amazing what we can all learn from a 12 year old girl?

Angelina sings his own song, slows is down and adds a boatload of melancholy. All of the sudden it becomes a farewell note and you can hear the bad place where Avicii was at. It is so beautiful! I don't remember if you have listened to her a capella rendition of 'I'm a fool to want you'? She did that at 7 and keeps pitch perfect and keeps her pace for 2-3 minutes. They put that singing to the music and it's incredible: it's so easy to slide a little in your tone and your pace, but no it was just perfect. I've invented the word that she has a phonographic memory :-)

The opening paragraph of her book, 'Bet was een Tso Hearts' has ideas and word that should be impossible for a 6 year old. It was something like meeting this poor girl on a street corner while on vacation opened a staircase to heaven. Avicii asked Angelina to record Feelin' Good, for Volvo's World-wide commercial. When the executives at Volvo found out it was a little girl that recorded it, they nixed the idea because they didn't want a 10 yo, who can't even drive yet, singing their commercial. So he got another singer to do it & I can't remember her name. I don't know if it's true, but some fans think that a small portion of the song in the commercial is Angelina. I wouldn't be surprised if he mixed her in the finished product just to stick it to the "Suits" at Volvo. There is definitely a part of the song that, to me, sounds exactly like her. The guitarist is Ivan Mendez, so this is another of her "Magical" song transformations she did at home on the fly, probably in 1 take. Very heartfelt reaction, her tributes always make me tear up, so don't feel bad.

Capstan is correct, Miss Angelina went through tough times. In 2018, she lost An acquaintance, her dear friend Avici and her paternal Grandpa, in 2019 she lost her maternal japanese Grandpa, and in 2020 she almost lost Mery Zamany. In her younger years, she witnessed poverty, hate, jealousy, as well as great hearts that would give away their last food for a guest. I have witnessed such things too. This woman has seen much more in her short life than normal people will see in their whole life. And don´t tell me again that I am lying (Thats for the trolls). To be this hopeful and humble with so much talent, is humbling me. Boudy and company, stay safe and happy. Elmar from Germany

Typically an occasion for Excitement and Happiness, inducing Smiles and always with the possibility of Tears, it's ANGELINA JORDAN MONDAY. In this AMR AJM episode, we have ANGIE 🙂 and AVICII 😥; T O D A Y, T E A R S A R E G U A R A N T E E D . . . The circumstances surrounding the tragic end of AVICII's life are Sad. I will simply place here the statement his family released regarding their beloved Son, TIM BERGLING (a.k.a. Avicii) : " Our beloved Tim was a seeker, a fragile artistic soul searching for answers to existential questions. An over-achieving perfectionist who travelled and worked hard at a pace that led to extreme stress. When he stopped touring, he wanted to find a balance in life to be able to be happy and to do what he loved most - music. He really struggled with thoughts about Meaning, Life, Happiness. He could now not go on any longer. He wanted to find peace. Tim was not made for the business machine he found himself in; he was a sensitive guy who loved his fans but shunned the spotlight. Tim, you will forever be loved and sadly missed. The person you were and your music will keep your memory alive. We love you, The Family " . Avicii's family launched a mental illness and suicide prevention foundation, named after the late DJ, the ' Tim Bergling Foundation '. The foundation works internationally and aims to educate people and businesses on the issues surrounding suicide and mental health. The foundation also works to tackle climate change, manage business development, and conserve endangered species, all things Avicii cared deeply about. Many Tributes poured in from Artists and Fans alike from all over the WORLD and many Concerts were (and still today) held featuring Avicii's songs; in most cases, ALL Profits raised is poured into the Family's ' Tim Bergling Foundation '. R.I.P. Tim 😥 thank you Angelina . . . Cry not my / OUR Love. AMR : if you agree, Please pin this for all to see.

This interpretation, like other similar "inventions" of Angelina, are very personal to her and are part of what makes her an anomalous artist, if not unique, in terms of talent and musical imagination. Her slow and sweet reading of this song is the fruit of her personal use of the song, she transforms it into her dedication to her friend Avicii after he dead.💛🧡❤

The emotion she is able to evoke at such a young age is more than amazing. The ones from American Idol and Million miles are other very thought provoking arrangements and how she puts such feeling at her young age. And there are so many more songs. ❤❤❤

I want her to revisit all the youtube covers and do a then and now box set. Or whip one out when its right. I want her originals of course but her interpretations have proven time and again to raise up the original material into truer meaning of the lyrics. Five years later and im still enthralled by her

I hate the word "cover". It reflects the cheapness of much of todays music. A great song is a great song and deserves to live on in great interpretations such as the ones Angelina has given us. Do you say that Yo Yo Ma "covers" Bach's cello partitas or Miles "covered" Autumn Leaves. They bring them to life. I love her original music but I love her singing great songs of all genres and times as well.

She radiates warmth, love, truth, sincerity, joy, and soy many words and feelings. They're going to have to come up with a whole new category of words for the positive effects she has on everyone hearing her. I've heard so many wonderful singers in my 78 years, but never anything like AJ. What a gift she has and which God sent down here, we don't deserve her but I'm so glad we go her. Beauty and out, there just isn't anything fake, she is the real deal.

There is no such thing as coincidence just the divine choreography revealing itself, that when you allow it, it becomes a natural flow and it flows through her life for sure and she's aware of it. 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗

Not sure if you are aware that Angelina’s grandmother is from Iran. Among the languages she speaks are Persian and Farsi. Her maternal grandfather was from Japan. AJ also speaks Japanese and sang in Japanese during a concert in Japan. She has a large fan base in Japan and South Korea. AJ opened in Korea for Nora Jones.

She first worked with Aviccii on his 2015-16 advertising campaign for Volvo. It is my understanding that Angelina developed her version of "Feeling Good" for this project, but they wound up using Audra Mae in the final version(s) of the ads.

This is gorgeous, and tugs at the heart. Funny- when I first heard it, I wondered why everyone looked so happy dancing when it was about a sad, lost soul! Now it’s like we know that he was trying to cover pain with happy music and dancing. But Angelina sooths us with this heartfelt tribute, interpreting his soul- and he’s truly awake now that his “ lost-ness” in life is all over, and he’s at true peace!! NOW!! Take your own advice, and , as you admonished us all before, go listen to “ What A Difference a Day Makes!” -A few times!! As you said, “ I PROMISE you!!! Whatever is wrong- if you’re ever sad- just listen to this a few times, and everything will be all right!!”

Avici had indeed planned to help Angelina. In fact he was in the process of doing a volvo commercial and angelina was to do the song feeling good in the background. Unfortunately he was struggling more than people realized and was not able to continue his journey. You can see and hear her love for him. After his passing volvo went with someone else and a different singer sadly

Almost every song she covers is a tribute to a deceased artist, and thank you for the history of this particular song. Whether it's Jay Hawkins on a candle, a tribute to Lisa Marie Presley, an homage to Eva Cassidy, or an Amy Winehouse classic, she pays special tribute to all those artists who paved the way for her, and NOBOBY does it better, or in a more heartfelt emotional way. RIP Avicii. As for autotune, you are spot on! Angelina uses it not a a crutch or tourniquet for bad vocals, bot as a useful tool for her craft. Like American painter Bob Ross created masterpeice landsacpes with a putty knife, and called it "painting".

Auto-Tune is primarily an effect like Vocoder, it was introduced in late 90’s and Cher made the effect popular with the song Believe. Like Cher, Angelina has the ability to accurate riff and run through notes with or without glissando and make the effect sound good.

Word is the two worked together on a Volvo commercial. The final spot didnt feature her voice though for whatever reason. The LP due for later this year will include only originals, I understand including the songs fro the EP. If you need a good cry try checking out her original "Million Miles", that one regularly brings grown up hardened men to tears. She said loosing her grandpa felt like a hole in her heart and she makes you feel that level of hurt there.

What I've heard is that Volvo, when they found out one of their "hired employees" was a 10 year old, they pulled out because, as an international car manufacturer they did'nt want to be connected with "child labour"... (Doesn't matter so much when producing car batteries using lithium mined by child slaves in the third world though.. another matter entirely)..

I have never criticized any of her choices but I do prefer the purity of just her voice with an acoustic guitar. When she sings that way there is nothing to distract me from the beauty of her voice with all the inflections, etc., and lyrics seem to take on a deeper meaning.
