I watched hours of someone with like 2 viewers trying to find the last 13 korok seeds in botw with NO guides. (currently hes at like 2 seeds iirc) also if you dont know, theres 600 korok seeds in total iirc

I wonder if this is how people thought the edge of the world was like before we discovered the planets.

On the xbox version of minecraft I discovered a place I dubbed The Squat-Lands. After teleporting to coordinates with ridiculously high x and z values on a flat world, every block was compressed to half its height, not cut in half, full model compression. While I couldn't move horizontally, I could vertically. This led to a few experiments, placing random blocks that did stuff and see what happened. Turns out every aspect of the game was changed, player height, texture height, and even the height of entities had been halved. Hence, The Squat-Land got its name.

I wish the Farlands were kept in. It was a really cool thing to hear about as a kid. This weird place at the edge of the world where everything was broken. I would always try to reach them, before getting bored or dying or some such. It added a lot of mystique to the boundaries of the map that current Minecraft doesn’t really have.
