As a cat (and generally, animal and nature) lover, this is why I love BGC. They are very nature-friendly and animal-friendly. And BGC really started out that way. It's the first commercial space in the Philippines that I know of that allows pets and even strays. More power to you, BGC. Good karma abounds for people who embrace nature! P.S. Those with ears clipped or tipped means they were neutered or spayed already. There are a few cat groups around Metro Manila taking care of stray and feral cats around their areas. Most Filipino homes have cats too. Those cat groups are helping spread awareness that spay and neuter is the way to go to help the cat population.

I've had several during my lifetime so far. But they are interesting animals.

I learned that in Istanbul Turkey, they also take care of stray cats.

That is correct! And there, it's different. There is no restriction to pet the cats or feed them yourself.

Thank you for this videos of these cats. I grew up in Philippines and we rescued cats and ending up in 21 of them, that was in 80s we fed them rice mix with sardines in a can during those times no Spayed or Neutered that we know of. Now we're still doing it here in US, I have previous cats passed away at old age and all of 3 of them rescued, one adopted from our friends and a TNR. Now we have 2 male young black cats. They need our help, and if you can't don't hurt them. BGC THANK YOU AND TO ALL WHO HELPS FERAL CATS.

The AYALAS 💕🐱🌳allowed them in the parks and the volunteers feeds and monitored them. As far as i know they are neutered/castrated if you notice their tip ear with notch. You can found them also in Ayala Triangle Garden, Greenbelt Park,Circuit Mall,Trinoma Mall in Q.C. and all Ayala Malls. The one you liked most is the TORTOISE color pattern. I wonder maybe the kittens was just dump the sad part. It is the duty of the security guard to watched those who dump kitten in the vicinity. There is a law in the Phils.about animal cruelty and abandonment but not strickly emplemented. I wonder if you have a cat your own way home You have a soft spot on theme. Im a cat lover/rescuer here. 🐱💕

Not everyone likes cats, especially when you see them in cheap places to eat. Some people are highly allergic to cats. They also pee everywhere and treat treat rock gardens like a giant liter box. People who claim to love can sometimes be so flashy about their compassion. One time in Siargao, a white guy Proudly exhibits his love for cats by giving water to a stray cat using the Iconic salad bowls of a Health bar. The bowl is made of coconut shell and it puts in the ground for the stray cat to drink. What a virtuous lad. I had to cancel my vegan salad and order a hamburger. Dont want rabies on a bowl.

They are much luckier than the cats and dogs in our area, who are completely abandoned, It's so sad to see others in such bad condition on the street, hungry and in need. Whenever I see cats outside, I try to feed them to help alleviate their suffering.

Our home has lots of stray cats,the first one just came inside and I was surprised so I gave food then the next day another cat came and then again and again the same routine some are in groups hahaha. Now they are 15cats and instantly our home became a hostel for them 😅

I'm a cat owner. The good thing they do is control the mice population anywhere. Unlike in New York, rats dominate and a big threat to humans. Let's protect our feline friends. This is a good topic you've covered in order to create positive awareness towards these lovable animals at BGC and other cities.

its better to have cats in that area than a rat running around the resto. and cats prevent also the rat from spreading because theres so many resto out there.

I think it could be a possibility but also, I guess the organizations probably rescued them from surrounding area especially along the border.

That's why BGC has no rat problems unlike other cities including NYC has big problem on rats....

NYC needs some cats for sure but also it's a mega city...BGC is a tiny area, the rest of Metro Manila is filled with rats too (also many street cats and dogs)

There are literally thousands of stray cats in the Philippines...there are shelters but mostly full. These cats are being monitored and counted, they are listed for adoption online.

That's the good thing. But I wonder if every single cat is monitored, and if so, that is a lot of cats which means the organization must have a really big team. But they are doing good things :)

The bowls are empty and the cats look hungry especially those kittens that are crying, so i cant blame anyone if they want to give these cuties something to nibble. I would do the same too.
